This is an Original GM aluminum intake for a Big Block Chevy engine with retangular port heads and a Holley carb. The casting number is 3962569. The 3963569 intake was used by GM on the following applications: 1970 L78 396(402)/375HP and 1970-1971 LS6 454/450HP engines. This intake has a casting date of 1.5.70. The casting date is on the underside of the intake below the heat shield and cannot be seen when installed. These original 3963569 intakes are getting very hard to find in nice condition. Don't miss this one.
This intake is in very good condition. It is in bare aluminum finish with no paints or coatings. It looks more like a piece of jewelry than a mechanical part. There are no breaks, repairs, or modifications to this intake. The part number and infamous Winter's foundry snowflake logo are intact and undisturbed as shown. All threads are in good condition with no helicoils or thread inserts. The cooling ports are free of corrosion. The intake ports are very nice with no porting. This is an awesome factory high performance intake.
