What are the symptoms of a bad air flow sensor?
- Engine malfunction light comes on.

- Increased vehicle fuel consumption, poor acceleration and increased emission of pollutants.
How to Replace Air Flow Sensor?
- Locate the MAF sensor - The MAF sensor is typically located between the air filter and the engine.
- Disconnect the battery - Before starting any work on the engine or electrical components, disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical issues.
- Disconnect the wiring harness - Unplug the wiring harness connector from the MAF sensor. Some sensors have a locking tab that needs to be released before the connector can be unplugged.
- Remove the sensor - Depending on the type of sensor, it may be held in place with screws, clamps, or a retaining bracket. Remove any fasteners or brackets that secure the sensor to the air intake system and carefully remove the sensor from the intake.
- Install the new sensor - Install the new MAF sensor in the same position and orientation as the old sensor. Reattach any screws, clamps, or retaining brackets that secure the sensor to the air intake system.
- Reconnect the wiring harness - Plug the wiring harness connector into the new sensor and secure any locking tabs.
- Reconnect the battery - Reconnect the negative battery cable and tighten the terminal.
- Test the sensor - After installing the new sensor, start the engine and test the sensor by checking for any error codes or diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to the MAF sensor. You can use an OBD-II scanner to read any error codes.
