IWC is notresponsible for injury or damage during or as a result of the installation ofour parts. TIMING BELTS/CHAINS, THERMOSTATS, SPARK PLUGS, FLUIDS AND SEALS AREROUTINE MAINTENANCE ITEMS AND SHOULD BE REPLACED AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION.
SHIPPING CLAIMS

RECOMMENDED INSTALLATIONCHECKLIST FROM INDUSTRY LEADER (LKQ):
ENGINE
Determine why theoriginal engine failure occurred and make appropriate repairs BEFORE INSTALLINGA NEW ENGINE.
Ensure this engineyou are purchasing is the same application as the one being replaced.
Clear all computerdiagnostic codes from the vehicle prior to installing.
Exchange the oilpan and pick-up tube.
Inspect andreplace gaskets & seals (front seal, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets,oil pan gaskets).
All crankshaftbolts that are drilled through sealant must be applied to avoid leaks.
Install newthermostat & gasket (warranty will be void if engine heat tab is melted orremoved)
Replace the timingbelt and water pump and Install replacement sparkplugs & wires.
Exchange attachedaccessory items to insure proper fit (mounts, intake manifold, exhaustmanifold, distributor, sensors).
Disablefuel/ignition before attempting to start engine. This will allow the oil toprime as indicated by the manufacturer.
Replace engineoil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filters, coolant-antifreeze.
Drain excess oiland coolant from exhaust system.
If equipped withan engine oil cooler the radiator or external cooler must be replaced.
Ensure the coolingsystem is flushed and functioning properly.
TRANSMISSION
Determine why theoriginal transmission failure occurred and make appropriate repairs
Ensure the purchasedtransmission is materially the same as the one to be replaced
Remove oil pan andreplace filter, remove torque converter strap and replace front seal.
Properly installand index the torque converter completely into the front pump.
Inspect andreplace rear seal as needed, and change over sensors as needed.
Flush thetransmission cooler lines and radiator with a power flush machine or with anaerosol 'Cooler Flush Kit'. This will ensure the cooling system is flowing.
Replace theradiator or cooler if recommended by the manufacturer.
Clear alltransmission computer codes in the vehicle prior to starting or operating.
Fill thetransmission with the OEM recommended fluids.
Verify thedifferential portion of the transmission is full of fluid.
Most 4WD &some 2WD vehicles must re-learn the shift logic to the transmission afterinstallation. You may verify with your local dealer if a re-learn is requiredfor your vehicle. Service is not reimbursable.

Re-learning or resetting theTransmission to the vehicle may involve towing (Not Driving) to a dealership ofsame manufacturer in order to be performed. In certain types of Transmissions,the TCM (transmission controlling computer) is incorporated with the Valve bodywhich may require the valve body to be replaced. Transfer cases are notincluded with transmission from AWD automobiles.
