Stock Mustang GT500 vs Corvette Z06 with Tune and Bolt-Ons

November 6th, 2021

Here we go again! It’s Ford versus Chevy on the streets (of Mexico) in door-handle-to-door-handle roll racing action. Both these machines are factory performance monsters with gobs of attitude. Better buckle up for this one ‘cause it’s about to get real.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a beast with a supercharged 5.2-liter engine that can generate 760hp and 625 lb.-ft. of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 11.5-seconds @ 129.6 mph. This is easily the most capable Mustang (Shelby or otherwise) ever produced. The Mustang GT500 weighs 4,182-pounds.

On the other hand, we have the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The flagship of the Chevy lineup is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter engine that can churn out 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. In factory trim, the Z06 can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.95-seconds and burn through the quarter-mile in 11.1-seconds @ 129.4 mph. The ‘Vette comes in a little lighter than the GT500 at a svelte 3,524-pounds. It has also been enhanced with a set of exhaust headers, a performance intake manifold and a performance tune.

Enjoy this nighttime roll racing action with multiple hits and diverse camera angles.
