King of the Hill – 1064HP 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

July 25th, 2024

It’s finally here! The twin turbo 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has made it. Two things jump out about this innovative machine. The split window is back. Anyone who remembers the 1963 version of this iconic sports car will appreciate this feature. Secondly, this is being lauded as the most powerful production vehicle ever produced. Got your attention, now?

Let’s begin there. The brand-new LT7 5.5-liter mono-scroll twin turbocharged flat-plane crank V8 engine is capable of producing 1,064hp and 828 ft.-lb. of torque. Upgrades to the new engine include reconfigured pistons, connecting rods and cylinder head castings with CNC porting. There’s also an upgraded intake manifold and a secondary port fuel injection system to offset all that forced air induction. Preliminary testing reveals that the stock ZR1 can eclipse the standing quarter-mile in less than 10-seconds. Top speed is 215 mph.

Adaptive suspension is standard on the 2025 ZR1. Opting for the ZTK Performance Package yields such upgrades as stiffer springs and a more sophisticated aerodynamics package.

Carbon ceramic disc brakes adorn all four corners. Brake rotors are 15.7-inches in diameter; the largest rotors ever used on a Corvette model.

Fresh new colors include Competition Yellow, Hysteria Purple and Sebring Orange. The four new wheel designs include three alloy options and one carbon-fiber.
