Drastically Modified Imports – Nissan GT-R vs. BMW 340i

Both these dudes are packing some serious heat! A pair of import owners have had it up to here with the smack talking and they’re set to hit the streets. They’ll work out their aggression the old-fashioned way – roll racing on the interstates (of Mexico). It’s almost throw-down time.

In lane one we have the Nissan GT-R. From the factory this all-wheel drive coupe was equipped with a twin turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine capable of producing nearly 600hp. In its current state of modification, this GT-R is doing way better than that. The engine has been professionally built to withstand copious amounts of horsepower without catastrophic consequences. The transmission has been upgraded with billet internals. Turbochargers, you ask? Those are 58-millimeter twins. Make no mistake, this Nissan is in it to win it. All the way.

Lane two contains the BMW 340i. The Beemer has undergone a turbocharger upgrade and it’s tuned to burn E85 fuel. Don’t let the fact that the BMW is a sedan fool you. This is a serious street machine with plenty of horsepower. The engine is a stock 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder.

Without further ado, let’s get down to where the rubber meets the road.
