Camaro LT1 vs. Boss Mustang – Street Hits

May 2nd, 2023

We are taking it back to the streets (of Mexico) tonight for a manufacturer’s grudge race between a Chevrolet and a Ford. Each of these machines are naturally aspirated and modified to enhance performance. Both cars are also used as everyday transportation. Enjoy the roll racing.

In the right lane is the Chevrolet Camaro LT1. Powered by an all-aluminum 6.2-liter V8 engine, the stock Camaro LT1 can produce 455hp and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9-seconds. The transmission is a 10-speed automatic. Featured in this video is a Camaro that has been upgraded with a cold air intake and tuned to burn E85 fuel.

On the left is a Ford Mustang with a gen 2 Coyote engine. In stock trim, the gen 2 Coyote crate motor could churn out 420 to 435hp. It was loaded with Sinter forged connecting rods, redesigned piston tops with deeper cutouts to clear the new larger intake and exhaust valves and a rebalanced forged crankshaft to support higher-RPM operation. This Ford has a 6-speed manual transmission. It has been modified with a Boss 302 intake manifold and exhaust headers. The Mustang has also been tuned to burn E85 fuel.

Buckle up, amigos. It’s about to get real street up in here!
