Rolling back out on these streets (of Mexico), Big Frank found a pair of gearheads doing their thing. We join the roll racing action as the competitors are leaving the parking lot. Buckle-up!

In the right lane is the Mitsubishi Evolution (EVO). This DSM product is a front-wheel drive sedan with a turbocharged four-cylinder motor. The EVO featured in this video has undergone a turbo upgrade but retains the stock engine. Sounds a lot like an angry bumblebee.

On the left is the Gen V Ford Mustang GT. Equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine and a manual transmission, this Mustang is outfitted with a full accoutrement of aftermarket bolt-on performance goodies. It’s also tuned to burn E85 fuel.

The racing begins at 50 mph for this hit. Both cars lurch ahead on the jump and the Mustang takes an early advantage. I waited for the EVO to spool up and close the gap, but the Mustang kept walking away. Ford FTW.
