2012 Honda Civic Review - The evolution of a great thing
It doesn't wow you with a bold new design, or with best-in-class mpg claims. And that's disappointing at first. But the new 2012 Honda Civic is, in every way, an improvement over its predecessor -- arguably the best buy in the compact car segment for several decades running.

2012 Honda Civic Hybrid Review - Civic Hybrid cuts Prius's lead in fuel economy race, but..
Despite being the first and closest rival to the Toyota Prius, Honda's Civic Hybrid has never been a serious competitor to the car who's name is synonymous with gasoline-electric transportation. True, it's never been close enough in the fuel economy race to ever make a threat, but Honda would tell you it was never intended to be a direct rival either. The Prius is a hybrid. The Civic Hybrid is a Civic first and a hybrid second, with everything that that entails.

2012 Honda Civic Si Review - Honda and its fans know the Si is too good to live without
When asked if he looked to another automaker's high performance model in building the new 2012 Si, Honda Civic chief engineer Mitsuru Horikoshi was unequivocal. 'No', he said, in plain English, his translator not being needed to communicate this most basic thought to the assembled journalists.

2012 Honda Civic Si HFP Review
HFP is how Honda now spells Si.
Honda finally delivers the fun-to-drive Si we've been asking for, only it doesn't have any more power and costs a premium.

Enthusiasts didn't take kindly to the 2012 Honda Civic Si. From the power, to the styling, to the feel behind the wheel, it simply wasn't edgy enough. A more refined performance machine perhaps, but not what the Civic Nation expected, at a time when Honda was already seen to be losing its appetite for performance vehicles.

2012 Honda Civic Si vs. 2012 MazdaSpeed3 Comparison
Can Honda reclaim the crown as king of the front-wheel drive sport compact segment?
Unlike the Honda Civic Si's dominance of the sport compact scene during the '80s and '90s, these days the more powerful and aggressively styled MazdaSpeed3 rules the front-drive roost (and the VW Golf GTI isn't far behind).

New 2012 Honda Civic
Honda has launched the new Civic at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. Developed specifically for the European market, the Civic will be offered exclusively as a five-door hatchback and will compete in the C-segment, the heart of European Car market. It will reach European showrooms in early 2012. The designers of the new Civic wanted to keep the sporty and advanced elements of the car's character but tailor them to express the new model's even more elegant yet dynamic feel. In the build-up to the reveal of the new Civic, Honda has released a series of short form films detailing its development. The fourth of these films focuses on the design and quality.

2012 Honda Civic Review from JL Freed honda
The Honda civic has long been the best-selling model for Honda for some time. If the Honda civic were its own brand, it would rank as the 12th largest in the world. The 1973 Honda Civic was envisioned to be a car to meet everyone's needs and the all-new 2012 civic continues to deliver that vision in ways that no previous model has done before. To this end, Honda focused on three key areas when designing this 9th generation. These include style, fuel economy and performance. Combining these elements is not an easy task, but Honda seems to have pulled it off.
With fuel economy ratings of over 40 mpg, the Civic line will lead the way to increased fuel economy with two very exciting models: The Civic Hybrid and the Civic HF. The new HF model includes a new 1.8-liter I-VTEC engine that delivers 41 mpg on the highway without the use of an electric hybrid motor. The Hybrid model will have its battery upgraded to a lithium-ion unit adding 4 more mpg to provide a combined 45 mpg on the city and highway. The standard power plant has also been tweaked to provide up to 39 mpg on the highway and will be included on the remaining models with the exception of the Si. These standard engines now offer an ECO function to help improve gas mileage.
Honda set the benchmark high with its critically acclaimed 2006 model. For 2012, Honda chose to improve rather than revamp its exterior lines. The sedan has been given a more traditional luxury leaning while the coupe moves more toward the sporty side. Improvements have been made inside as well. The most notable change is an all new dash which is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. This new display changes color depending on how fuel efficient you are driving and includes a new information center to provide feedback to the driver without having to turn their head away from the road.
And then, there is performance. The Civic Si is back, bigger and badder than ever. Gone is the 2.0L 4-cyl engine, and in its place is a new 200 horsepower 2.4L i-VTEC engine with 170lb-ft of torque. This is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission that is geared just right. What that equates to is a vehicle that not only performs better, but somehow is still able to get 31 mpg on the highway.
If you just want something that is sporty, but don't necessarily need 200 horsepower, Civic still provides options that many other manufacturers no longer do. Both the coupe and sedan still continue to include an optional manual transmission in each of their standard vehicle lines and are paired with a shifter that can do enthusiasts justice.
Honda set out to provide a civic for everyone, and that is what they have delivered.

2012 Honda civic whats new
First look and final production of 2012 Honda civic. first civic to offer stability control on all trim levels and the first to acquire the eco assist button in order to achieve more then 40 mpg. video shot by iphone 4 camera.
Just test drove the car today! The civic felt luxury car smooth witch included drastically reduced wind and road noise and the engine has a nice humm to it without intruding alot into the cabin when accelerating. another feature i like is the mini display next to the speedometer . this colored screen shows you radio stations , average fuel economy, oil life, temperature and lighting setting, maintenance info and it allows you to add wall paper to the background by using a ipod and connecting it into the standard USB connection in the arm rest compartment. Seats are more comforming and less firm compared to the previous model. I can definetly see myself taking long road trips in this car.
