rx8 13b engine swap single turbo
Im selling my 2005 Rx8. I have a million upgrade and parts into this car. It took me several months to built the car. The chasis has 54,000 miles and the new engine just has 9,800 miles. I have a 1999 big block 13b with cosmo intake. It has a custom made single turbo (Garret from Mike turbo) T67 with a .96. The engine is street ported fully rebuilt from scratch, every single part put into the car was brand new. There are not many of these cars with this swap in the world. I think this is one of the few that has AC and everything. It drives and sounds amazing. The complete set up is just perfect.
Performance:
The car made 519hp on 93 pump gas. It is set up and tuned at 473hp @ 18 pounds, with 394 ift Lb (torque). Tuned by Alex Lopez Racing.
Engine: Complete Engine work and upgrades done by B&N Performance. Engine is a 13b cosmo intake, fully rebuild (all new parts into engine), street ported, reinforced, pinned. Custom engine mounts and brackets. Custom made header. Complete performance transformation and maintenance done by B&N performance.
turbo: By Mike turbo custom made. T4 Garret with custom blade. T67 with .96.

Note to future FD owners, great cars but always have around 5000 sitting around for who knows what and when. They are not a cheap car to own or maintain.

Recently featured in Fast Fours Magazine over four issues as a buildup. We've just completed the Dyno tune our customer Steve's RX8 fitted with a built RX7 Series 8 13B-REW twin turbo engine. Tossing out the asthmatic factory IHI twin turbos in favour of a Garrett T04Z ensures this street driven monster tears up tarmac like a Tsunami in full force.
The latest Haltech ECU, the Platinum Sport 2000 (PS2000) with Haltech Wideband O2 provides engine management. Intake and fuelling is handled by the EFI Hardware Throttle Body, Tweakit IDA Plenum, 750cc primary injectors, 1600cc secondaries, turbosmart FPR 800 and Bosch 044 MotorSport Fuel Pump.
