2012 Honda Civic Hybrid Review - Civic Hybrid cuts Prius's lead in fuel economy race, but..
Despite being the first and closest rival to the Toyota Prius, Honda's Civic Hybrid has never been a serious competitor to the car who's name is synonymous with gasoline-electric transportation. True, it's never been close enough in the fuel economy race to ever make a threat, but Honda would tell you it was never intended to be a direct rival either. The Prius is a hybrid. The Civic Hybrid is a Civic first and a hybrid second, with everything that that entails. http://www.autoguide.com/manufacturer/honda/2012-honda-civic-hybrid-review-video-1548.html Subscribe! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=AutoGuideVideo http://www.youtube.com/Autoguide Twitter http://twitter.com/AutoGuide http://twitter.com/ColumWood Facebook - http://facebook.com/AutoGuide Google+ - http://goo.gl/LBxsP Web - http://www.AutoGuide.com AutoGuide reviews the latest new cars with test drives, car comparisons and shootouts plus coverage of breaking auto industry news, auto shows, rumors and spy photos. NEW!!! 2014 HONDA EURO CIVIC IN DETAILS,HOTTEST CIVIC EVER
NEW, BEAUTIFUL, BETTER THAN EVER. CIVIC RULES:)

2012 Honda Civic Review from JL Freed honda
The Honda civic has long been the best-selling model for Honda for some time. If the Honda civic were its own brand, it would rank as the 12th largest in the world. The 1973 Honda Civic was envisioned to be a car to meet everyone's needs and the all-new 2012 civic continues to deliver that vision in ways that no previous model has done before. To this end, Honda focused on three key areas when designing this 9th generation. These include style, fuel economy and performance. Combining these elements is not an easy task, but Honda seems to have pulled it off. With fuel economy ratings of over 40 mpg, the Civic line will lead the way to increased fuel economy with two very exciting models: The Civic Hybrid and the Civic HF. The new HF model includes a new 1.8-liter I-VTEC engine that delivers 41 mpg on the highway without the use of an electric hybrid motor. The Hybrid model will have its battery upgraded to a lithium-ion unit adding 4 more mpg to provide a combined 45 mpg on the city and highway. The standard power plant has also been tweaked to provide up to 39 mpg on the highway and will be included on the remaining models with the exception of the Si. These standard engines now offer an ECO function to help improve gas mileage. Honda set the benchmark high with its critically acclaimed 2006 model. For 2012, Honda chose to improve rather than revamp its exterior lines. The sedan has been given a more traditional luxury leaning while the coupe moves more toward the sporty side. Improvements have been made inside as well. The most notable change is an all new dash which is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. This new display changes color depending on how fuel efficient you are driving and includes a new information center to provide feedback to the driver without having to turn their head away from the road. And then, there is performance. The Civic Si is back, bigger and badder than ever. Gone is the 2.0L 4-cyl engine, and in its place is a new 200 horsepower 2.4L i-VTEC engine with 170lb-ft of torque. This is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission that is geared just right. What that equates to is a vehicle that not only performs better, but somehow is still able to get 31 mpg on the highway. If you just want something that is sporty, but don't necessarily need 200 horsepower, Civic still provides options that many other manufacturers no longer do. Both the coupe and sedan still continue to include an optional manual transmission in each of their standard vehicle lines and are paired with a shifter that can do enthusiasts justice. Honda set out to provide a civic for everyone, and that is what they have delivered. For more information, visit our website at jlfreedhonda.com
