1987 Buick Grand National STK # 934
Buick produced some powerful car throughout the years and this 1987 Buick Grand National is no different. Buick had a hot car with this 3.8L V6 SFI turbocharged engine under the hood backed up by the stock automatic transmission. This GN has all the appointments that a GN should have with the badges, floor mats, hood mat and embossed headrests. The T-tops are in great condition along with the T-top bags in the trunk. Inside is cold A/C, AM/FM/CD player, cruise control, seatbelts, tilt steering wheel, cloth interior, power door locks, power seats and power windows. To stop this performance marvel are power brakes and power steering for easy handling. Outside on the blacked out exterior are Grand National rims with center caps and radial tires. 1987 Buick Grand National First start in ten years

Sat in storage for ten years (01-11)
Changed oil, changed plugs and charged the battery. Thats it.
Fogged the cylinders and ran the motor with out plugs to build up oil pressure before i started it.
Smoke from start up was from the fogging oil, I still cant believe how easy it started. Even the gas in ten years old! Although, it was before Ethanol was added to everything and it was treated with a heavy dose of good stabilizer. It will be drained and new fuel will be added before we run it again.

Buick Grand National: New Transmission/Converter/Burnout
Hi, This is a 1986 Grand national with mods. This car has a 58mm turbo, Alcohol Injection, Bigger Intercooler, Injectors, Fuel Pump, Headers 7 Exhaust 7 a built transmission. The car Dynoed 383 RWHP.
I had the Grand National now a couple months and blew the transmission last week. The blown transmission couldn't handle our efforts. We had the trans professionally built with hi-performance parts including a nice 9" 3000rpm stall speed converter. This new tranny should be able to handle the beatings!!!
We drove the car over to a private road/parking lot and completed several launches/smokey burnouts. The new tranny seems proper and up to the tasks of a GN!! :)
1987 Buick Grand National VS 2010 V6 Chevy Camaro 1/4 Mile run 2010
Been working on my GN with my friends for the past two years and decided to give her a run for the first time at a local cruise night. Not being at the track in years I didn't know where to stage and didn't have time to build Boost...but 12.1 in 1/4 is a good start. It's a 1987 Buick Grand National with 26k original miles with stock motor and a few bolt on. The paint and interior are all stock.
