1998 Pontiac Bonneville heater core replacement
well I made this vid cause when I wanted to find a vid on it I couldn't. I
hadn't done a heater core in a Bonneville before and thought I'd find one
on here and get a few pointers but no luck, so yeah this should give you
guys an idea on how its hidden behind the dash on the passenger side. not a
bad job to do at all, just some tight fitting for the fighting of getting a
few bolts out
Engine Coolant Thermostat replacement 3800 V6 engine - Pontiac Bonneville P0128 OBD II Code repair
My check engine light came on in the fall of '09 so I had the code pulled.
It was P0128- Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat
Regulating Temperature). I decided to check and replace the thermostat. It
was the problem and has been fine since. Overall the job took about 45 min
to 1 hour including draining, warming the engine, and refilling the cooling
system. It was a pretty easy fix. This problem causes the engine to run too
cool because the thermostat is stuck open, causing more coolant to go
through the radiator than necessary. Ignoring this problem causes the fuel
mixture to be too rich, which will cause poor fuel economy.

This is one of the first videos I took of my car when it was brand new and
stockers. I have painted the interior panels silver. Tinted all the windows
to limo. Lots of appearance modifications all over the car. One of my
favorite appearance modifications was my rear view mirrors which I'll be
redoing here in the new future due to the fact that auto zone paint didn't
last one damn Arizona summer before chipping! I have lots of videos of this
