$2009 AWD Hybrid Fiero - First test drive!
First test drive with the $2009 AWD Fiero. The video shows the car in electric only mode, it's so quiet that you can't even hear the motor over the road noise from the nearby street! This was the first time the new suspension has been driven on as well.

Fiero 2.8 Engine Knock. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was driving my 85 GT to test a clutch issue I had fixed earlier in the day. When going from 2nd into 3rd gear (4 Speed manual) I pushed in the clutch to shift and my RPM's skyrocketed causing my engine to go way past redline. I panicked and dumped the clutch causing the car to slam into 3rd, which stopped the engine from redlining freely. The car was still pulling despite the brake being applied. Still in panic and confusion, I (stupidly) pushed the clutch in again causing the motor to Rev REALLY hard again. I shut off the car this time and coasted to the side of the road. I popped the decklid to inspect, and a small puff of white smoke came from just under the intake plenum on the trunk side. Since then that smoke has never been seen again, so I have sort of disregarded it. Upon further inspection I found that my throttle had been jammed open and refused to return to the closed position. I went in the car and saw that the gas pedal was also partially depressed. I pulled the gas pedal out and after a pop, it returned to its normal position as did the throttle. After double checking a few things, I started it up, and began to drive away. Much to my dismay I heard this nasty engine knock. Several people have told me that it sounds like a trunk side valve is bent. Anyone have any useful comments? Any help is appreciated. I will no longer be driving the car until this problem is fixed. Thanks!!!

Ford SHO mid engine RWD in a Fiero Redneck dune buggy
Initial Startup, running in the parking lot by my shop. A few donuts, a few drifts and some straight line runs. A piss poor attempt to laying a patch! lol
My friends and I have spent over 400 hours building this car. It is caged with race seats and harness belts. I plated the chassis and completely rebuilt the back end of the frame to suit my driving needs! I used the subframe from the Taurus SHO and modified it to fit the Fiero. I also plated the subframe and added a 1/2" thick aluminum skidplate! This baby is built to drive the piss out of it! :D
It will be interesting when I start running exotic blends of fuel, as I am only starting off with some 87 Octane fuel to start with here. More to come in time....
I have an MTX and a auto Tranny I am willing to sell!
(Fiero) Stripper Party Pt.1 of 2
A rusted out 1986 Fiero 4 cylinder 5 speed from the east coast meets a much needed death, at the hands of the West Coast Fieros of BC club. But! Not before the exterior body gets ripped off, the chop gets cut off, and it gets taken for a drive!
Note: No nuns, nor baskets of kittens were harmed in the making of this video.
Jeep Engine Noise 2.5 broken piston skirt #3, tick, knock
The sound of a jeep motor with a broken piston skirt. I pulled the valve cover expecting a bent push rod, but no such luck. Rockers were moving fine, changed oil, push rods spin while running, did not go away after warming up or driving. 55,000 miles. Noise was more noticable underneath. Gets louder when applying accelerator. loosened the oil pan and fished around with my hand and collected 4 pieces that turned out to be the piston skirts.
Pontiac 151 "Iron Duke" first start in 10 years, no car.
This is the motor out of a 1979 Chevy monza i used to have a number of years back, i was relocating the motor from storage and decided to see if it still ran. Hooked up a battery, some ignition power, and primed the fuel pump and carb with a splash of fuel and the thing started up and ran just as good as it did then. Sorry about the camera being so far away. Enjoy! the video!
