1959 Nash Metropolitan, Coupe, Ca Car, Restored, For Sale!
This is a local Southern California "Blue-Plate" car that is completely rust-free and has been fully restored. This is the rare and desirable Series IV model with the upgraded engine, rear decklid and vent window model that was introduced in 1959. This motorcar has been well restored by a local southern California vintage sports car engineer and racer. The car is restored to original specifications and is in car show and touring condition as opposed to concours condition.
The drivetrain was thoroughly rebuilt and the car disassembled for repaint in its original livery colors of tangerine and white exterior with black and white interior. In the process of the restoration, the previous owner decided to change the rear end ratio from an inefficient 4.22: 1 to 3.9: 1. He also acquired new axles to ensure durability.
He bought the car 11 years ago from a neighbor who had owned it for many years and had bought it in Los Angeles. The car has been in California since new. In 1999 the car had amassed a total of 97,779 miles. A detailed maintenance log from the previous owner is included, which covers ministerial details such as tire pressure readings and oil changes as well as restoration activities. By 2000 he had broke 100,000 miles and today the car has a total odometer reading since new of 103,950 miles. Since the rebuild it has accumulated approximately 3,000 miles.
The car was repainted and reupholstered over the past year, including most of the stainless trim replaced, new window rubbers, seals, tires, etc.

a 1 off car based on sketchs that Rust Heinz made on a dinner napkin who was a member of the H.J. Heinz family. It can seat 6 passengers in total, 4 in the front and 2 (somehow) in the rear. Its built on a standard Front Wheel Drive Cord 810 chassis with a V8.

ABANDONED JUNKYARD 30's 40's 50's 60's CARS
This is an abandoned junkyard filled with 30's, 40's 50,s 60's and 70's vehicles. I don't know why it's not operational anymore. Now it's just used for car shows twice a year.
Restoration of my 1960 Nash Metropolitan
18 month restoration of my 1960 Metropolitan. I finished it in 2007. It was a 95% rust free Colorado car. It received a Gold Award last year at the Metropolitan Regional in Macungie Pa.

Советские конструкторы и не пытались скрыть, что новый автомобиль разрабатывался на основе известных американских моделей 41 года, таких как PACKARD и BUICK. Солидность черт, классические формы, много хрома - все это было и остается очень популярно. Покатыми формами кузова и сегодня можно любоваться до бесконечности. Необычно широкий, даже для тех лет, просторный и надежный, кузов был гораздо современнее и удобнее многих уже существующих автомобилей. Комфорт 110-го стал эталоном на многие годы вперед. В машине очень хорошая звуко - и теплоизоляция, эффективная система отопления и вентиляция. Все в автомобиле было ориентированно на высокопоставленных пассажиров. Водитель, кстати, тоже не был обделен комфортом. Места в кабине даже больше, чем надо....Салон выдержан в бежевых тонах. Огромный мягкий диван, удобный педальный узел, солнце защитные козырьки, много нужных приборов и конечно же радиоприемник, и часы. Ручка переключения передач по американской моде находится под рулем и не смотря на возраст скорости включаются точно и четко. Первая на себя и вниз, педаль в пол и поехали. Несмотря на огромный объем в шесть литров, двигатель резвым назвать нельзя. Скорее тяговитым. Он не спеша, но очень уверенно, разгоняет двух с половиной тонный автомобиль.
