This is just a small rev of the k20 after putting in the aem cold air intake.
again took around 3 hours, was my first time installing a cold air
was definately worth every dollar and every minute
also, chose the cai over the v2, no regrets. V2 has huge chance of heat soaking, and just doesn't work as a cold air in general, but i'm sure the arguement can go either way, this is just my opinion.
but then again, if it's raining hard, i could hydrolock, but smart driving should keep the baby safe
06 Scion TC Injen CAI water soaked filter after rain + fix
I think most people are concerned about water + CAI's. I have read in many forums that the intakes high enough to ride through puddles, but what about heavy rain dripping down the hood? well i checked the next day I noticed my CAI was completely soaked after a moderate shower, so I made a ghetto water diverter, which is very embarassing because of the work quality. Please don't make fun of my workmanship, i was working in the rain and wanted to be able to drive it later that night XD. hopes this helps someone whose thinking about installing a CAI, maybe they can make a fancier diverter

Mike's Hyundai hydro locked
A friend Hyundai Elantra hit a deep puddle after a heavy rain, amazingly it hydraulic locked but did not wreck the engine. It must have been almost stopped when it hit the deep water.

I decided to make a compilation of some of my videos to show the sound of the Injen cold air intake on my 2002 RSX Type S, from different locations.
1rst video - Camera was placed directly on the steering wheel.
2nd video - My buddy filmed it.
3rd video - I held the camera with my hand.
The Injen cold air intake is the only performance modification made on the car.
