This is my new setup same subs and amps. I have an optima under the hood and two city bus batteries in the box of the truck that weigh 140 pounds each! they are huge! I built a new box for them and somewhat of a half wall. It really pounds and gets low.

40.000Watt Hummer H2
BEFORE you write any answer: There are TWO Amps and ratings are 40.000 Watt MAX and 20.000W RMS total power speciefied by AudioQue. If you never tried to record high soundpressure with a videocamera, then don´t comment the distortion which comes from the microphone. This clip is from the Scandinavian Carstyling event 2010 where i showed my Hummer H2 2006. It was the first test just the day after I made the woofers, so not much power used due to the need for break in. At normal listening levels with closed doors I use to lower the subs around 15-24db comparing to the levels I use for demo with open doors/trunk. Front and rear speakers is Digital Designs DDA-kit driven by two Digital Designs S2, one for each side of the car. They are delivering 300Wrms to each 6.5" Woofer plus tweeter. Woofers are two Digital Designs 9518 2 X 2 Subwoofers driven by 2 x AudioQue AQ 20 Amps specified to 10.100Wrms each @ 1ohm 14.4Volt and 20.200W Dynamic Power each @ 1ohm 14.4Volt said by the manual. So NOT 40.000Wrms, only MAX if you read the specs on the amps. But I did never say RMS anywhere either.. ;)
This was how the audiosystem was build 2010. Since April 2011 I use 2 x Digital Designs M4a for the subs which now has 4 x 4 coils wired in parallell and the amps are daisy chained in 1ohm load. So my system is now a complete DD system. The whole system is calculated, build and payed all by myself exactly as the car is through hard work. And i do have a girlfriend and a son, so don´t worry about those things guys. ;)

For anyone who has read this far, and is interested, the Vehicle is a 1998 Toyota 4Runner. The window tinting is 35% in the front and 15% over stock on all the back windows. The taillights were tinted using VHT Night Shade translucent paint. The rims were painted with "Por15" Gloss Black Paint. The door pillars, door handles, grill, gas tank cover, and the rear "spoiler" were all carbon fibered using 3M Di-Noc Vinyl. If you have any questions leave them in the comments or PM me.
Music @ 157.4db - Neill Barber Bass Race
(24) 10" Kicker L7's doing their job. Inside view of a Bass Race fun run of 157.4db on music. I know it appears different subs are moving at different times but that is due to the camera not able to capture enough frame rate to keep up.
Second half of the video is slowed down and the music is off time. Sorry bout that!
