1979 K10 Short box with a 6in rod 355. 12:1 compression, compcams, 580\598 lift solid, solid 500+hp haven't put it on a Dyno yet. The only thing stock on the motor is the timing cover and oil pan.
383, 388 stroker chevy with comp cams big mutha thumpr
This is a 388 chevrolet engine cold start up. It has a big mutha thumper cam and 492 dumble hump heads. Heads have been angle milled and bowl ported with light porting. flat top pistons and block been decked giving aprox 11.7:1 static compression. 750 edelbrock carb and a dual plane high rise air gap intake. This is all in a 1960 Chevy truck frame that im restoring right now. Engine is backed with turbo 350 and ford 9 inch.

This is a very brief "break-in" video of an old school flat tappet stroker engine. This particular engine has very good HD parts.
The total sum of it's parts 'n labor is right at $5K.
The top end is composed of high performance Edelbrock "RPM" parts (in a complete kit.).The carburetor is a 750 cfm.The intake is an "RPM Air Gap".The camshaft is a dual pattern with roughly 240 duration@ .50 and a smidge over 500 lift.
The rotating assembly is all Eagle. The pistons are Mahle forged.
This engine is built so well that it could take Nitrous without a problem.
I don't think it's owner likes Nitrous,,lol.
Speaking of owner, and it's also built by him,"J D H" in perryville Ar.
It's a .060 over early 350 block with 4 bolt mains and 400 crank which results in 388 cubic inches. The initial starting and break-in of the engine went flawless.
This was the easiest break-in I ever did.
This should make 400 reliable HP. It also has a new beefed 4 speed automatic 700R4.
It has the best money can buy in the rear end as far as aftermarket differential,posi and gears,etc.
The rear end gears are 3:73.
JDH built the whole truck from the ground up by himself, it's basically a new truck which should give him years and years of fun hotrodding service.
