2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Turbo rolling start 10mph-80mph
Rolling start at 10mph at about 2500 rpm in our Subaru Legacy GT 2.5 turbo getting onto the 10 freeway just outside downtown Los Angeles. This is the onramp by my house and it would have been dangerous to stop to launch. The car is OEM.
Real Drivers: Subaru Legacy GT (Stage II)
This past Sunday was a fantastic spring day in Vermont, and while many people were in Mount Snow and nearby Wilmington for an endurance race, I was there for a much more relaxing reason - filming Brent Rabideau and his 350-lb-ft., 270-horsepower Subaru Legacy GT. It sounds great, pulls great, and is certainly great fun to ride in.

Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT - Vehicle Review
Subarus are funny cars: they can be a little weird looking and they tend to squeak and rattle. But after driving the Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT, you can start to see what people love about this brand.

The new Subaru Legacy 2.5GT drafting 261kph (according to GPS data) after a Porsche Panamera 4S. The Porsche driver slowed down before each corner, hence the "loser" ;)
Without drafting, the Legacy goes up to 254kph
2005 Subaru Legacy GT LIMITED ALL WHEEL DRIVE Wagon $2800 OFF
This is a fabulous car to drive! It is ALL WHEEL DRIVE! It has been very well cared for in it's short life thus far. The body is very clean. It is almost perfect. I have trouble finding some very minor nicks (on the back bumper mainly), that are too easily over looked. I only mention these in an effort to be as honest and upfront as possible. Most dealers wouldn't even mention such things that are not easily visible to the human eye. I just want to be your eyes and ears. I am very comfortable selling this car to anyone in any state, knowing they will be extremely pleased with it's condition and performance. It is a pleasure to drive this vehicle. Subarus are well known for their low maintenance costs, due to intelligent Japanese design. The All Wheel Drive will make life easier in any situation of precipitation. This vehicle is quite attractive in style and utility. It has a black leather interior, which compliments the silver exterior nicely. There is plenty of cargo space offered in this wagon. It has a CLEAN TITLE. Please don't hesitate to call me with questions. I don't bite :) I will most likely answer my phone anytime between 9:00am-11:30pm EST.
Thanks

2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT blown turbo
This is very common problem on a 2005-2008 2.5 GT.
If your car makes a High pitched whoosh under Boost and then looses power or the car starts to sound like you are shaking a metal can filled with ball bearings... STOP driving it immediately!
This is the sound of the turbo after it breaks. If you continue to drive it, it will blow apart and take out your engine, costing you WAY more to fix. Our guess is that this happens normally on GTs that haven't been properly maintained, and the turbo becomes "starved" of oil.
This car was purchased and the turbo blew on the drive home. When we changed the oil while doing the turbo swap, the oil was WAY over the change period.
We used a brand new IHI VF40 turbo from Subaru, but used VF40s can be had for $200-$400, in very good shape.
