Introducing the ORIGINAL
CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner.
Stop using aggressive chemicals to clean sensitive MAF sensors!
If you've got a dirty mass air flow sensor your car isn't driving to its full potential. Pollen, dust particles and soot can build up and burn onto MAF sensor hot-wires causing incorret measurements of air flow and mass. In most cases the air/fuel ratio will run rich with fuel resulting in sputtering, hard-starting, stalling, excess emissions, wasted fuel, power loss and even automatic transmission shifting problems.
Oil can also build up on the wires, especially from over-oiled reusable air filter. Oil travels directly from the air filter onto the MAF hot-wires causing faulty read-outs.
With no arternative many technicians and DIY'ers are using aggressive chemicals like brake, carburetor and air-intake cleaners to clean fragile MAF hot-wires and housings. These chemicals can cause serious and expensive damage to sensitive equipment, especially plastic.
Finally, the right product for the job! CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner safely and easily cleans the MAF hot-wires and electrical components without damage to the wires or plastic housing. The whole job should take less than 10 minutes!

How To Clean A Ford MAF Sensor - Simple & Effective
Cleaning a Ford mass air flow sensor. This procedure should work on most Ranger Mustang Taurus F150 etc. from the 1990's and 2000's. After doing this, my truck performed much better. Smoother running, and more responsive. I used paint thinner and denatured alcohol with a cotton swab.

How to replace an O2 Sensor and save money.
I show you how to replace your O2 Sensor. This is being performed on a 1997 Chevy Tahoe. Automotive oxygen sensors, colloquially known as O2 sensors, make modern electronic fuel injection and emission control possible. They determine if the air fuel ratio exiting a gas-combustion engine is rich (with unburnt fuel vapor) or lean (with excess oxygen).

*This video is an EXPERIMENT I wanted to try on my car, and is for INFORMATIONAL purposes ONLY. This fix is for off-road use. The content shown in this video is not intended to encourage emissions test cheating. I enjoy the process of testing theory because you always learn something new, regardless of the outcome.
Using a spark plug defouler kit, I install a "buffer" in between the downstream oxygen sensor and the catalytic converter. Quite often, frustrated car owners get the P0420 code for reasons other than a bad cat. I have heard of people getting the code just because they removed the converter and reinstalled it. It can also happen if you run your vehicle out of gas etc... etc...
It is also common for car owners to get the P0420 code, replace the converter, and both o2 sensors-- only to have the code come back after 1000 miles or so. This can be a very frustrating, time consuming and of course-- expensive venture. Here is one way to resolve the issue. Good luck and have fun!

How to test Mass Air Flow Sensor
When I drove my car without the MAFconnected (warning don't drive for long as this will mess your CAT) my car drove very good, no hesitation under load. But on idle it was very rough. With the bad sensor was connected on it would idle ok and hesitate badly under load. This made me guess it was my MAF which was bad. I have replace it with aftermarket and has now fixed the problem. Can't beleive how much more horse power I have got. Cleaning the MAF didn't work for me.

HOW TO CLEAN A MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR / METER , M.A.F. SENSOR !!!
This is how to clean a mass airflow sensor , this car is a 2003 ford crow vic police interceptor , but any car or truck with a mass air flow sensor will be cleaned in the same way , and they all are located in the air intake like this one , open your hood and you are sure to spot it , and the process is very simple , so clean away , even if you don't think you have a problem , clean it , you will notice power , and fuel mpg improvements 100% guaranteed , so get cleaning , also check out my video on cleaning your throttle body , this can be done with the same cleaner , and will help idle smoothness , and off idle stumbles , misses , and could turn off that big orange light on your dash too !!!
