Headlight Restoration Kit - G1900
"I recently purchased the Headlight Restoration Kit, and all I can say is
WOW. I own a 1998 Mustang
GT. It's my daily driver. Here in Wisconsin, cars take a beating. The
headlights were in really bad shape. I tried another product that I found
in a hardware store and it didn't do much. I was contemplating buying new
headlight kits. I saw your ad in Autoweek, and watched the demo on your
website. I thought I'd give it a try. I am very pleased with the result.
The money I spent and the half hour of my time was worth it. I'll be
looking for some of your other products to help bring back the exterior
finish. If you have suggestions, I'm listening."
J.K. -- Sheboygan, WI
"I used your Headlight Restoration Kit and it worked really well. I had a
lot of build-up on my headlights and I am definitely impressed with how
well it worked. I had tried other products that hadn't worked and am
definitely impressed with yours. Thank you!"

Xenon-Vision Bi-Xenon HID Install
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. There is NO need to disable the Daytime Running Light (DRL) module if
you have the Bi-Xenon HID kit. The reason being that the DRLs will run off
the low beam and will not flicker as I initially thought. If you have the
non-Bi-Xenon (no HID hi-beam), then you WILL have to disable the DRLs (from
what I understand).
2. If you happened to have disable the DRLs, it is likely that your
interior dome light will not work, as was my experience. No idea why the
DRL module is connected to the dome light but I'm not a Toyota engineer.
3. There are two things that look like grounding wires in the kit ... they
actually are not. They are connected to the battery terminals. The wire
coming from the two fuses go to the POSITIVE terminal while the wire coming
off the control unit go to the NEGATIVE terminal. I unscrewed the nut that
helps tighten the clamp around the battery and then placed the wire in
between the clamp and the nut.
4. The clips only fit one way except for the one on the ballast. You will
see in the video how they should connect but the red wire should go to the
5. There is a metal bar in the front of the car with holes in it. Run the
wiring through that to ensure that the wires don't melt on the radiator or
get caught in the fan (that would be bad news!).
6. Lay your wires out to get a sense of how things connect together.
7. It is normal to have one of the original headlight wiring harness not
All in all, the install is very easy. I did it in about an hour and a half
but if I knew what I just wrote above, it probably would have taken 30
Hope this help anyone that is installing the Bi-Xenon kit in their Yaris!

answer them for you. Cheers

Tutorial for Volkswagen Transporter T5 (1st generation) Bi-xenon projector
retrofit. We used a DEPO headlight for this retrofit (better price than
Projektzwo headlights). They are cheap, easy to retrofit (not permasealed
as the original T5 headlight, so they open easy with heat), and they are
0:01 remove the lens clips
0:15 put the headlight in preheated oven (200 degrees C, turn the oven off
when you put the headlight in it, because most ovens have one heat emitting
side which can locally melt the headlight unit)
0:31 Bake your headlight! :-) 3 minutes for the first time
0:40 After 3 minutes, rotate the headlight, to make sure that it's equally
0:52 Again 3 minutes in the oven.
1:20 Use a flat head screw driver to pry the headlight open.
1:35 Don't use to much force, work patiently
2:08 Gently remove the lens completely from the housing
2:30 Make sure the sealant doesn't stick to chrome parts which are visible
to the eye when installed on the car, this looks ugly :-)
3:25 First insert the wires through the H7 bulb hole
3:58 Then insert the shaft of the Bi-xenon projector
4:20 Place the H7 adapter ring

4:31 Locking nut, tighten it! Now the projector is ready :-)
5:05 Put the lens back on the headlight
5:56 Make sure it fits correct
6:20 Mount the clips back again
6:40 Bake it again to soften the sealant again, to make sure it will be

7:12 Check the lens that it fits tight, apply some pressure with pliers.
After this, connect the wires. You can use wire taps to connect the wires
of the Bi-xenon solenoid to the High beam wire, and optionally the angel

Bi-xenon Shootout! Andrew's thoughts on the FX-R, EvoXR, TL, RX350, and LS460 projectors
Andrew offers his thoughts on some of the most popular full-size bi-xenon
projectors available from The Retrofit Source
Morimoto FX-R 3.0: Easily our most popular bi-xenon projector. Reasonably
priced, very compact and easy to work with, pre-installed and optimized
clear lens, amazingly wide, bright distribution of Light
Hella EvoXR: Great open design bi-xenon projector designed according to
Hella's latest OEM alternative. Really popular for direct swaps into OEM
headlights originally made by Hella, but with projectors of a lesser
Acura TL bi-xenon: Monster sized solenoid makes covering this projector
with a shroud a bit tricky. It's an otherwise fantastic performer,
reasonably affordable, and can use the ZKW-R clear lenses for an enhanced
Lexus RX350 Bi-xenon: very compact for such a great performing bi-xenon
projector. Makes good use of the STi-R clear lenses for enhanced output.
Lexus LS460 Bi-xenon: huge, hard to retrofit, amazing performer, looks
menacing. Makes good use of the STi-R clear lenses for enhanced output.
Technology: How a bixenon headlight projector works with a quick lights-on demo
Here wee have a quick overview of how a bi-xenon headlight projector works.
A true high performance headlight upgrade involving a bi-xenon projector is
vastly different than a "bixenon" plug n play HID kit. Projector systems
use a light "cutoff shield" inside to define the shape of their beam
pattern. Bixenon projectors have a hinged cutoff shield that will move out
of the way when the high beam solenoid is activated, letting more light
project through the lens, and creating the high beam.
Demo projectors are a Hella E55 bi-xenon (common in BMW's/Mercedes) and an
Acura TL bi-xenon (exclusive to the 04-08 Acura TL's)
This is the same technology found in all modern high end cars from BMW,
Mercedes, Lexus, Nissan, Acura etc.
