2012 Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series Limited Edition
A new Toyota.
-Info-
Toyota has introduced the 2012 Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series at the Texas State Fair.
Designed to tackle the toughest terrain, the T/X is equipped with an electronically-controlled locking rear differential, active traction control and downhill assist control. There's also an increased ride height (up 2-inches in front), Bilstein race shocks and TRD coil springs.
The exterior is virtually identical to the standard model, but there are special graphics and bead-lock style wheels with BF Goodrich T/A KO tires.
Power comes from a 4.0-liter V6 engine which can be mated to a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. Performance specifications weren't released, so it remains unclear if the engine is the naturally-aspirated variant with 236 hp (176 kW / 239 PS) or the supercharged version with 304 hp (227 kW / 308 PS) and 334 lb-ft (452 Nm) of torque.
Regardless, the model will be available in Access and Double Cab (aka extended and crew cab) configurations when it is launched in the United States in the spring of 2012.

2012 Ultimate 4x4 Shootout
After our Duel in the Desert challenge in which Mopar's Ram Runner beat the Ford SVT Raptor, we decided to let truck makers offer us their biggest and baddest off-road trucks for our Ultimate 4X4 Shootout. The contestants are the 2012 Ford SVT Raptor, 2012 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon ST and 2012 Toyota Tacoma TRD Baja. Each pickup competed in a grueling list of off-road and on-road challenges.
2012 Toyota Tacoma Bremerton Vs 2012 Nissan Frontier Seattle
The Toyota Tacoma Bremerton is a midsize pickup available in regular cab, Access Cab (King Cab competitor), Double Cab (Crew Cab competitor), and Double Cab long bed body styles. It's available with a 4-cylinder or V6 engine and 2- or 4-wheel drive. There are few things the Toyota Tacoma Bremerton lacks in comparison to the Nissan Frontier Seattle.
Most people know the Bremerton Toyota Tacoma is the most comparable midsize competitor to Seattle Nissan Frontier. Yet the Nissan Frontier Seattle continues to offer a more powerful V6 engine, more rugged frame, and more available comfort and convenience features than a Toyota Tacoma Bremerton.
