This is Jim Terry's C-47 (AKA DC-3) taking off and flying in formation with a C-17 Globemaster.
( for those of you who are observant, or truly interested in details, this aircraft is actually a C-49J Troop Transport. It does not, and never did have the large cargo door, as it was ordered as a DC-3 by TWA in 1941 just before the war.)
