2012 Mazda3 SKYACTIV Road Test & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/mazda/mazda3/2012/ New on the 2012 Mazda3 is the addition of the SKYACTIV engine and highly efficient transmission which helps the Mazda3 net 28 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. The 2012 Mazda3 SKYACTIV has a base price of only $18,450. The engine is a 2.0 Liter 4-cylinder that makes 155 horsepower and 148 lb-ft. of torque. There is a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission that can be had on the new SKYACTIV model. The engine is more fuel efficient because it has a high compression ration along with direct injection. Other innovations also aid the fuel efficiency of the 2012 Mazda3 SKYACTIV.
The 2012 Mazda3 does everything and does it well. Also the styling of the Mazda3 is a welcome change compared to the rest of the compact sedan segment. The interior of the Mazda3 is perfectly acceptable and the materials are of good quality. In fact the entire design and feel of the interior space is well done as the fit and finish are perfect. The standard 2.0 liter engine produces 148 horsepower. The 2.5 liter engine ups the power to 167 horsepower. Then there is the MazdaSPEED3 with adds turbo power to the mix.
The 2012 Mazda3 is a great 4 door compact sedan that combines a fun driving experience with a wonderful base price. The Mazda3 I SV sedan has a staring price of $15,800 and the top of the line s Grand hatchback maxes out at $24,200.
