How to break glass with a fragment of a spark plug
Mike shows how porcelain from a spark plug can break glass with ease. Then tries to do the same with a rock. Why doesn't he just use the hammer? Because this is not a video on how to break glass with a hammer. Why does he talk like a caveman? For fun and to explain it in a simple manner. No, you don't need a vise to recreate this. Why does this work? Search the comments below. Some very knowledgeable people break it down for you.
No Start, Diagnostic Basics - EricTheCarGuy
This video is a response to the Honda Main Relay video that I did. I've had a couple of people come to me with questions about no start conditions and how they should go about fixing them. This video is a starting point to a series that I plan to cover on this subject. The point I make in the video over and over is, don't make assumptions. Assumptions get expensive and can frustrate you to the point of homicide, follow these simple tips and it will lead you down the path of success.

Explains the Ignition Coil Operation. The ignition coil's job is to increase the voltage from 12.6v to 8K to 45K volts. In essence it is an auto transformer. Voltage is increased but current is decreased. All ignition coils need a pulsating DC to function. Learn how it operates and how to test. How to test a coil on the vehicle
If you suspect a possible bad coil, here is a quick and easy way to test the coil without expensive labscopes and equipment.
Bad Spark Plug
Bosch Platin F5DP0R BUSTED (new)
I want to share in this video what a bad spark plug CAN look like. I have another video with the sound the engine was making when this plug (1 of 6) was installed. I brought the car (2000 Audi S4) to 2 different shops who both suggested replacing all of the lifters in the 30 valve engine (Audi 2.7T) as the sound was so similar to stuck lifters. Fortunately, I eventually diagnosed the problem myself and saved thousands. My main goal of this video has always been to help others avoid similar situations in the future by highlighting one way in which spark plugs (of any variety) can fail.
