2012 Cadillac SRX with the New 3.6 engine
A quick video highlighting the changes in the 2012 Cadillac SRX!

2013 Cadillac SRX: Expert Car Review by Lauren Fix
The new and improved 2013 Cadillac SRX is the best-selling model line under the Cadillac brand. Let's take a closer look. Model -- 2013 Cadillac SRX MPG -- 17 city / 24 hwy. Engine -- 3.6L V6 engine that produces 308 horsepower Towing Capacity: 3000lbs. Price -- base price starts at $37,155 Test Vehicle: AWD Premium Collection with destination $53,520. The 2013 SRX has been freshened with a new front fascia that includes LED lighting in the fender vents. Inside, every SRX receives Cadillac's CUE 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system. Active-noise cancellation aims to make the SRX quieter, and new technology such as adaptive cruise control is available. The 2013 Cadillac SRX seats five and comes in standard, premium, luxury and performance trims. Each trim has a V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is optional. There are interior material upgrades, including wood trim, as well as additional technology and safety features. My test drive was comfortable and the SRX had ample power and handled well on the road. Getting into the garage or a parking spot was made easier by the Safety Alert Seat, which sends subtle pulses through the seat cushion, alerting the driver of potential hazards. The Cadillac CUE system was easy to use, with touch screen controls for navigation, Bluetooth, audio, temperature and more. Competes with: • Porsche Cayenne • Lincoln MKX • Land Rover LR2 • Audi Q5 • BMW X3 • Volvo XC60 Likes: • Plentiful features • Comfortable ride • Classy cabin design • CUE smart infotainment system Dislikes: • Shift points on transmission • Turning radius could be tighter • Seats need more lateral support The 2013 Cadillac SRX is luxury crossover with angular and athletic looks, a strong engine, comfortable ride, plush cabin and creature comforts that impress. Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in the class you are looking in to make sure you find the car that is best for you. 2012 Ford Explorer Limited EcoBoost Start Up, Exterior/ Interior Review
Due to an unknown disruption of the last review of this vehicle, I decided to completely remake the review all over again. So for those who are curious, this is NOT the same review I had last time, just the same vehicle.

2012 Cadillac SRX
The Cadillac SRX enters 2012 with a greater combination of performance, technology and capability, building on the momentum of record-setting sales and more conquests from import owners in the mid-luxury crossover segment. Retail sales were up 17.7% in the first half of 2011 -- a notable feat considering 2010 sales were up more than 150% for the year. A new, more powerful 3.6L V-6 headlines the changes for 2012 and becomes the sole engine offered in the SRX. It is rated at 308 horsepower (230 kW) with efficiency-enhancing features including direct injection and continuously variable valve timing. It also delivers 265 lb.-ft. of torque (359 Nm), with peak torque achieved at a low 2,400 rpm and continuing through 5,300 rpm, giving the SRX a greater feeling of acceleration from a standstill, at low speeds and when passing. The 3.6L is also E85 ethanol-capable. The 3.6L is matched with the Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission, which features a driver-selectable Eco feature that alters the shift points for up to 1-mpg improved fuel economy in normal driving conditions. Other enhancements to the 2012 SRX include standard Bluetooth phone connectivity on the Base model, a heated steering wheel on the Luxury, Performance and Premium Collections and door lock switches on the driver and passenger door panels. The new model will continue to have door lock switches on the center console. Also for 2012, SRX will offer a new machined-face finish on the 20-inch wheels, which are standard on Performance and Premium Collections.
