Fox-Body 5.0 Mustang plays with big boys (GT40 heads-intake-cam)
This basic little GT40 equipped Fox-Body plays with big boys, thanks to
suspension upgrades & a few basic engine mods... and before someone makes a
comment about the fenders, the fenders are modified like this, many of the
competitive American Iron Fox-Body racers weld their fenders like this for
aero benefits and engine bay heat extraction.
This is another re-edit fellas... some of the long time subscribers have
most likely seen this car before as originally I put a video up of this Mustang last summer, but I'm
messing around with some new "royalty free music" as well as adjusting the

something radical and its an easy 550+ hp engine, just add some Nitrous and your in BIG numbers.
Cam and springs are Comp Cams products (hydraulic)
This engine is very streetable, idles good, not too bad on fuel (15-20mpg)
with my C4 and 3.50 gear. Best time with this combo BEFORE the stroker kit
(was a 357) was 12.1 @113mph. Never raced it with the 408 but low 11's
would be easy to say the least....very high 10's i would suspect.

Hey guys, just a old video of my Mustang. Has since been tuned better,
and had alot of suspension work done (this is on stock stuff). No Nitrous is used during these pulls, just sprayed
for the look. Thanks for watching... (ignore my buddies weird noises :D )

Ford 351 Windsor Small Block Engine - Water in Oil Mystery
Behind the scenes of "Basic Engine Building" DVD
A special internet only treat from the producers of the BoxWrench Series!
Basic Engine Building DVD - Behind the Scenes: Small Block Ford 351 Windsor
We gonna show you some never before seen footage from the filthy Ford 351W
we pulled out of a boat. BoxWrench Director Brent Bye recaps the story of
discovering the engines problem and what ensued as the tear down process
Basically salt water was leaking into a cylinder head thru some hidden
steel water plugs that only these small block 351 W motors have. Being a
marine engine they needed to be replaced with rust proof brass plugs. After
running for 5 years the water eroded holes straight thru them. Water
pressurized from the water pump was squirting into the cylinder heads right
onto the rocker arms, valves and valve springs, ultimately all the way down
to the oil pan and crankcase. It all made out for a surprising tear down.
This particular Ford 351 Windsor marine motor was fully rebuild on camera
in the "Basic Engine Building" DVD. Even a catastrophic blown engine like
this can be rebuilt with the proper knowledge and tools. The BoxWrench
Series is designed to give you that knowledge and let you have fun with it.

351W Powered 1983 Mustang GT in car at the track
This is an in car view from a shakedown weekend trying to dial in my car.
The car is a 1983 Mustang
GT with a 351W and 5 speed. This pass I ran a 13.3 @ 108mph with a 2.39 60
foot time. I know that there is a lot more left in the car, Im hoping for
some low 12 second passes next time I go. I need to install a line lock
and some good upper and lower contorl arms to eliminate my terrible wheel
hop and be able to put a lot more heat in my M/T Drag Radials.
