Unintended/Sudden Acceleration 2000 Cadillac DeVille DTS

This is our story......We dropped our 2000 Cadillac DeVille DTS off at the local Cadillac Dealership in Lexington, KY on 10/3/10 for a water pump repair and picked it up on 10/4/10 15 minutes before closing time. My wife left the dealership after paying the bill, but after travelling about 3/4 of a mile, the car started accelerating on it's own. After realizing what was happening, she slammed on the brakes, got into the local Southern States parking lot and slammed the vehicle into park. As I pulled in beside her, the car was still revving at full throttle. The video you are watching was taken with my cell phone while we were waiting on the tow truck to pick up the car and take it back to the dealership. The next morning 10/5, I met with the service manager as the dealership was opening. He got into the vehicle, turned the key and the vehicle was still revving at full throttle. He shut the car off and the service writers pushed the vehicle out of the way so they could get the vehicles behind it into the service writers bay to get their day started. A few minutes later, the mechanic that worked on my car the day before showed up and came outside to look at my car. He raised the hood, reached in to the throttle body area and cycled the butterfly on the throttle body, came out from under the hood and stated that nothing felt stuck. But when I started the car again, it was back to normal idle. Go figure....now GM says there is nothing wrong with my car and will not take any responsibility. My wife WILL NOT get back into the car!!! HELP!!!!!

2000 Cadillac Deville for sale/trade
I will be fixing things as time goes by, so the price will gradually become less negotiable.
Electrical issues;
power locks, trunk, gas door opener, moon roof, and an electrical draw that kills the battery if not started about every 3-4 days
pass rear window motor needs replaced. pass front doesn't move, not diagnosed yet, same for drivers rear, and moon roof. Multi media stereo has broken glass face, needs replaced.
gas gauge not working, and gas cap light warning- first to be fixed, maybe in the next week or 2.
I have already replaced the rack and pinion, installed 2 new moog outer tie rod ends, and had alignment done. I have receipts for the work done.
Runs and drives great! Shifts through all the gears, rides like it should, stops just fine, tires are in great shape. Interior could use a thorough scrubbing. No weird noises. Heat works! Steering wheel controls work for climate and cruise control! power mirrors, seats, and heated seats all work as they should.
