Supercharged Dodge Viper SRT-10 Roadster revs
Here is an absolute beast that I filmed at Road Atlanta during the June 2010 NASA racing weekend. It was supercharged, to around 700hp I believe. He revs it a few times, teasing us with the V10's power. The owner runs the car on drag strips, but not on road courses. Oh, and the red Viper GTS that prowls by during my filming is also supercharged. ;)

Today was the event called 'Ferrari-Chat Herfstrit 2011', a supercar meeting with a total of 50+ exotics, including 39 Ferrari's. But this first video is not about a Ferrari, but about a American supercar. This Viper GTS has a 8.0L V10 engine that produces 600bhp and 950NM. 1996 Dodge Viper GTS Heffner Twin Turbo Coupe
We are pleased to offer this '96 Viper GTS Coupe you see here. But make no mistake, this is not your average Viper. This BEAST is powered by its 8.0L (488CI) V10 which was modified by the masterminds of forced induction systems at Heffner Performance and features a custom twin-turbo setup. The end result is a machine putting out nearly 1,000HP (950HP and 895 lb-ft torque @ 15psi). This car was built with one thing in mind... SPEED and it does just that. Best quarter mile by its current owner was done at 10.7 sec @ 141mph. 6 speed manual transmission with an MGW short throw shifter. The car rides on massive chrome 20" HRE 567R wheels wrapped in Nitto INVO rubber 285/30ZR20 front, 345/25ZR20 rear. Stopping power comes by way of a SRT Brembo brake kit with cross-drilled and slotted rotors. Suspension has been lowered to fill the gaps thanks to some Eibach springs. This car was featured in the November 2009 issue of Super Street Bike Magazine called Car vs Kawasaki ZX-14: Ultimate Street Showdown. It featured 5 heavily tuned cars put up against a stock Kawasaki ZX-14. The Viper was the clear winner against the other cars and 2nd only to the Kawasaki by a margin of 0.9 seconds. Desde hace tiempo parece haber caído en la lista de los que se van sin tiquete de regreso, pero mientras exista, muchos aún aman al Viper de Dodge, y muchos lo van a extrañar también cuando ya se haya ido. Porque no son muchos los autos como éste, que parece existir exclusivamente para dar satisfacciones a quienes realmente sepan aprovecharlas. No es, evidentemente, un auto para cualquier conductor. Entre otras cosas porque no perdona errores, y que lo diga yo que todavía estoy pagando el ridículo que hice con él, cuando al hacer una U en una avenida, aceleré el motor en medio de la curva y el trompo fue simplemente inevitable y monumental. Obviamente, a unas llantas que están ocupadas haciendo una curva, no les puedes tirar encima la manada de caballos que despliega el motor del Viper.
