Homemade car - test drive
Homemade car- First test drive after the following:
Completely new steering system
Dual front drum brakes (not hooked up yet)
Almost a complete replacement of some of the frame, engine mount, throttle and brake pedals, axle, and wheel hubs.
Please note this is, of course, not the finished product and, in the future, will be receiving body panels, a door, and a windshield in the style of an early cyclecar.
worlds smallest car
I wish car rental companies would offer stuff like this. I would love to hire this to travel around in although there isn't much room for luggage so not so good for car hire from Heathrow! This guy took a Postman Pat kids ride and a quad bike and built the world's smallest car (although it has yet to be verified).

Flatmobile
The Flatmobile recently entered the Guinness Book of Records as the lowest street legal car: the car is only 48 cm in hight!
The Flatmobile was built by Perry Watkins, a huge fan of the '60s Batmobile (this is also where the name comes!) The car is powered by a jet engine fitted behind the internal combustion engine at the very rear of the car. It is a home built gas turbine jet engine based around a Holset 685 turbocharger from a Volvo FL10 lorry.
