5.0 Mustang vs Camaro Z28 (Mustang-Town Showdown)
http://www.Mustang-Town.com features another Camaro visit to Mustang-Town featuring a classic Camaro vs Mustang street match-up... The 1993 LT1 Camaro is a fairly stock automatic with drop in K&N and Tune, and the 1989 Mustang 5.0 has 5-speed with full Exhaust, gears and a few minor bolt-ons... it is just a very stripped down version, light and low "bare-bones" optioned LX, with gutted interior panels, No passenger seat or back seat, and probably weighs around 700 lbs less than the Camaro. I'm sure the LT1 guys will leave a few comments on this one...LOL!!! Easy fellas...LOL!!! Its all American Muscle here...LOL!!!!

1995 camaro LT1 z28 vs 2008 mustang gt
a couple other races.. well i thought there were a few others lol... and a look at the vehicles. the Camaro is a 1995 but the guy i bought it from put a 2002 ss hood and front end on it. its a work in progress. ill make an over view vid of it soon. the paint is shitty i kno lol i got it cheap though. also the mods on the Camaro. the guy said there was a mild cam in it but i havent found proof that there really is so im not listing it as a mod.

It all started with an idea of who had the fastest street car in the NE Texas area. After lots of discussion, a couple of meetings, it all finally came together at Redline Raceway near Caddo Mills, TX on 3/31/2012.
Rules were as follows:
Current tags, inspection, insurance, DOT tires, maximum 29x14.50 or 315 drag radial, stock style suspension, any weight, any power adder, pro tree start and 15 mile cruise prior to race eliminations. 1 hit allowed prior to the race.

Mustang GT - Twin turbo/bult block on a street tune making 650 horse. Hoosier slicks on back
1st race: about even, Camaro clicked neutral manual shifting the auto but I was told Mustang puts a car on the Camaro.
2nd race: Mustang edged out Camaro by a good car or two
3rd race: Camaro beats out Mustang, but barely.
ALL RACES WERE RAN TO ABOUT 130 in the Camaro, so definitely ran a 1/4. YES BOTH CARS GO 10's.
No half mile roll racing non sense. Just 1/4 mile dig races.

2011 5.0 "Cammed" Idle
Before and after of what the idle sounds like after just a tune. Current modifications include JLT intake, Magnaflow offroad cat deleted xpipe and street series cat back. The tune is a 93 performance tune bought through Evolution performance and tuned by Jon Lund of Lund Racing.
