Volkswagen brand in Thailand by Thaiyarnyon (now Thaiyarnyon Group) actually separated from Yontrakit Corporation before exhibited in ME2008. Only not ready to introduce new VW vehicles, just keep go on with several Caravelle models. Until 30THBiMS, VW then introduced more 4 models: Passat CC, Golf MK6 EURO-V, Scirocco and Tiguan. Also brought back the updated New Beetle.
Golf MK6 is still main hilight in ME2009, because VW has introduced the performance model: 210PS Golf GTi. After MK6 Golf beknown around the world that it's the winner of World Car of the Year 2009. Everything is sporty, sumptous while quicker in power than any Golf GTi previously built. Here we have just 5-door to prevent Scirocco from become rivalry each other in same brand of course. Choose between standard and highline models.
In newer year, let's hope that VW will also brought Amarok for here.

I made this video on december 30, 2009 at the Dakar show in Buenos Aires, two days before the rally began.
It wasn't in my mind to upload it on YouTube because is not a good video, but I thought that it was ok to see something about the first pickup ever built by Volkswagen.
This truck in particular is fully loaded (i guess highline), with side airbags, downhill assist, ESP/ASR, ISOFIX,etc. six speed manual transmission and a 2.0 twin turbo diesel engine.

Der Pickup wird nach Werksangaben 5,25 Meter lang und verfügt neben einer Doppelkabine über eine Ladefläche von 2,52 Quadratmeter. Die Zuladung soll 1,15 Tonnen betragen. Die zweitürige Version ist für 2011 geplant. Die Motorisierung besteht wahlweise aus einem 2,0 l Bi-turbo-Motor mit 120 kW oder einem 90-kW-Dieselmotor. Die Kraftübertragung erfolgt im Basismodell als Heckantrieb. Optional ist ein permanenter Allradantrieb mit Torsendifferenzial oder ein zuschaltbarer Allradantrieb erhältlich.
