How to Rebuild a Turbo - Part 1 of 2
Rebuilding a td05h 16g turbo. This process can be applied to many journal bearing turbochargers. :) It definitely comes in handy to know how to do this when you are in this type of hobby. 4/25/12: Small explanation on the balancing of the rotating assembly since I get so many comments regarding it. This particular turbocharger, td05h, has it's rotating assembly components balanced separately. This means each individual part (compressor wheel, turbine wheel/shaft) gets balanced separately. This allows for easy interchangeability of parts in case they need replacing. This is why I am able to install a td05 20g wheel on this turbo without having to balance the entire rotating assembly. THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR ALL turboS OUT THERE. You need to research whether your specific turbo (if it's not td05h) was balanced as an assembly or "component balanced" like I explained above. Just some small acceleration scenes. Not full throttle. turbo pressure was 0.4bar and the car was shifted at 4000rpm. Stock except following mods: - Nissan S13 pre-facelift frontlip - Garrett GT28 turbocharger - HKS Blow off - Intercooler mod - Oil-cooler mod for turbocharger - electric Boost controller - turbo pressure, oil pressure, oil temp gauges - Exhaust emptied out - air intake mod - air conditioning removed With 1.0bar it has around 250-260hp at around 1120kg, fast thing. :D

Nissan Silvia acceleration.
Just a short acceleration in my Nissan Silvia PS13 listening to the new Japspeed catback type II Exhaust. Engine is SR20DET redtop with S15 turbo, FMIC, Z32 AFM, Trust/Greddy E-Manage. Its a little sluggish in the start if you dont keep the revs up, but once you get going it accelerates really hard, hitting 100 km/h in second gear, maybe not quite in this vid tho.. just playing around you know. I'm filming with Vado HD mounted on a little gorillapad wrapped around my neck.
