The Lexus ES is all new for the 2013 model year, and for the first time it features a hybrid powertrain option that can reach 40 mpg, the automaker says. The new ES looks more stylish than before — it borrows many cues from the redesigned 2013 Lexus GS — and it features a more high-end interior that will help further distinguish it from its platform mate, the 2012 Toyota Camry.

Despite being Lincoln's best-seller, the current MKZ doesn't have a lot of pizazz to help draw new customers; the 2013 Lincoln MKZ doesn't have this issue at all. Derived from the radically styled MKZ Concept, the 2013 Lincoln MKZ looks unchanged from its concept variant. It even adds more gee-whiz features like a massive glass roof option. The interior features a concept-like push-button gear shifter that's definitely cool, but backseat head- and legroom isn't stellar for the class, according to Cars.com editor Joe Bruzek.

2013 Lexus GS 350
In its bid to become more appealing to luxury sports-car shoppers, the redesigned 2013 Lexus GS 350 gets an aggressive yet elegant look. Exterior appearances are more than skin deep, too, according to Cars.com Managing Editor David Thomas, who says the midsize luxury sedan is nimble and quiet on the road. The cabin is also a bright spot on the Lexus, with well-thought-out controls and an easy-to-use navigation and multimedia system.
