The 2013 Nissan Pathfinder is set to be revealed at the 2012 Detroit Auto
Show at the Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. This vehicle will be sharing a
chasis with the 2012 Infiniti JX35 and will be unibody crossover.
Check out these links for more information:
Wikipedia's Article on the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder:
The Nissan Pathfinder is a SUV manufactured by Nissan Motors since 1986,
derived from Nissan's compact pickup truck platform. The Pathfinder is
slotted in size between the Murano and Armada or Patrol, but in price
between the Xterra and Murano. The Pathfinder's traditional Japanese
competitor is the Toyota 4Runner.
Fourth Generation (2013-)
A redesigned Pathfinder will go on sale in late 2012 as a 2013 model.
Following the footsteps of the Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and
Dodge Durango, it will become a unibody car-based crossover. It will ride
on the same platform as the Infiniti JX, Altima, Maxima, Murano, and Quest

2013 Lincoln MKT
Lincoln is back with the latest iteration of their Flex-based MKT. This
refresh features My Lincoln Touch and a spruced up exterior.
"Compared to the fixed-rate damper standard on the 2012 MKT, the CCD damper
on the 2013 MKT offers dramatically expanded control range. CCD utilizes 46
inputs to feed data to a sophisticated control unit that continuously
monitors more than 23,000 packets of information per second.
Three distinct driving modes -- Sport, Normal and Comfort -- are easy to
select using the MKT's new Lincoln Drive Control and the shift lever.
The standard engine for 2013 is a more powerful and efficient 3.7-liter V6
that includes twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT). The
ability to vary camshaft timing to optimize the opening and closing of
intake and Exhaust valves increases
the engine's power and efficiency.
2013 increases to 300 from 268, a 10 percent increase achieved with
projected fuel economy ratings that improve to 17 mpg city, 25 mpg highway,
a 1 mpg highway improvement. The MKT now offers more standard horsepower than the Audi Q7
and Acura MDX and nearly matches the 302-hp Mercedes-Benz R-350.
Fuel economy for the MKT achieved on regular unleaded fuel surpasses these
competitors by as much as 4 mpg highway.
Nine out of 10 MKT retail customers opt for twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, an engine that provides V8
performance with the fuel economy of a V6. In terms of horsepower from optional
engines, the MKT fitted with EcoBoost has no direct competition.
The 3.5-liter gasoline turbo
direct-injected (GTDI) engine produces 355 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and
an expansive torque curve that plateaus at 350 lb.-ft. of torque from 1,500
to 5,250 rpm. Fuel economy is projected to be 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway.
The EcoBoost V6 earned a slot on
Ward's 2010 "10 Best Engines" honoree list the year it was introduced."

2013 Infiniti JX35 Test Drive & Luxury Crossover Review Video
http://www.autobytel.com/infiniti/jx35/2013/ The 2013 Infiniti JX35 is an
all-new crossover vehicle built on the Nissan Murano platform. Infiniti
currently has a couple of great 5-passenger luxury vehicles like the FX and
EX. If you are looking for a 7-passenger luxury vehicle, then the QX56 was
your only choice. But that full sized SUV is pretty expensive. The Infiniti
JX35 fills the need for a reasonably priced 7-passenger vehicle. The base
price on the JX35 is $40,450.
Under the hood the 2013 Infiniti JX35 is powered by a 3.5 liter V-6 engine.
This is the same engine that powers the Nissan Altima and Maxima. Power
output is 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft. of
torque. The JX35 is a front wheel drive crossover with a CVT transmission.
The Infiniti JX35 with FWD gets 18 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the
highway which is very respectable for a 7-passenger luxury crossover.
Infiniti really focused on the amount of seating space in both the 2nd and
3rd rows. What's really innovative is not just the amount of room but how
easy it is to access the 3rd row seating area. The seats fold and slide
with a simple button and push of the hand. The inside of the Infiniti JX35
is all about luxury and comfort. The maple word trim gives a warm and
natural feel. Many of the surfaces are wrapped in beautiful leather. The
2nd and 3rd rows can be folded flat to provide a ton of storage space.
There is also a cargo bin built into the floor for extra space. The 2
panoramic moonroofs offer an outstanding view of the sky above for the rear
Technology wise the 2013 Infiniti JX35 sports the latest advancements
including the revolutionary Back-up Collision Intervention system. If you
are backing up and a small child, car, or anything else gets in the way;
the system will first alert the driver then stop the vehicle if necessary.
There are a couple of sensors located at the rear of the vehicle that
provide a 180 degree will sense of the surrounding area. The JX35 comes
packed with tons of features and options. This is the perfect choice for
those looking for a 7-passenger luxury vehicle.

2013 Cadillac CUE New Super Connectivity B-Roll
CADILLAC'S NEW SUPER CONNECTIVITY!
Cadillac Introduces CUE: New, Easy-to-Use Industry-First Control and
Command Technologies for Information & Entertainment
With the introduction of CUE - Cadillac User Experience - Cadillac is
taking the lead in "user friendly" automotive technology. CUE merges
intuitive design with industry-first controls and commands for information
and entertainment data.
Beginning in 2012 in the Cadillac XTS, ATS, and SRX crossover, CUE will be
unique to each consumer as it pairs data from up to 10 Bluetooth-enabled
mobile devices, USBs, SD cards, and MP3 players.
CUE: Safe, Simple and Sophisticated Information Integration for Simple to
CUE will appeal to both tech-savvy drivers and tech-novices alike with
safe, connected driving by way of a system which utilizes natural voice
recognition, fewer buttons, larger icons, an uncluttered screen layout,
greater options for customization, and more. For example, most of today's
luxury cars have approximately 20 buttons controlling the radio and
entertainment functions: CUE reduces that number to just 4 buttons!
CUE allows drivers to safely store such mobile devices as a smart phone or
iPod - and channel the information on those devices, along with navigation
tools, weather maps with Doppler radar, AM/FM radio, instant messages, and
emails through a central portal in the vehicle - allowing the driver to
keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
8 Inch LCD Screen: Elegant In-Vehicle Hub Resembles Smart Phone
The "heart" of CUE is the 8-inch LCD touch screen which is seamlessly
integrated into the top of the central instrument panel and a motorized,
fully capacitive faceplate at the bottom which conceals a 1.8L storage
area. The LCD screen displays CUE's homepage - which resembles a smart
screen by using large, easy-to-target icons to execute commands.
CUE's LCD screen features the driver's five most frequently used functions
stored along the top of the screen. Along the bottom, users can select up
to 60 favorites from music to points of interest, addresses,
weather/direction maps, phone numbers and system commands.
The steering wheel contains a five-way controller on the right side to
navigate the cluster display, a volume control and buttons to cycle through
favorites. The five-way controller on the left side manages cruise control
functions, voice recognition, and phone hang-up. CUE's customization and
control features are further enhanced through OnStar's suite of safety,
security, and connectivity services.
CUE Auto Industry Firsts
The longer a driver owns their Cadillac with CUE, the more the CUE will do
for the driver as the system is able to be updated - which is an industry
first. Among the additional CUE auto industry firsts include:
● Proximity Sensing: As users hand approaches the LCD screen, command
icons (which can be arranged and customized by the user) appear.
● Haptic Feedback: Faceplate buttons "pulse" when pressed to acknowledge
drivers commands - keeps driver's eyes on the road.
● Natural Speech Recognition: Drivers can speak "logically" with fewer
specific commands to recall stored media or input navigation destinations.
Text-to-Speech feature allows drivers to receive text messages by system
voice and to send recorded text messages in return.
● Multi-Touch Hand Gestures: Interactive motions - tap, flick, swipe,
spread - popularized by smart phones and tablets allow tasks on the LCD
screen, such as scrolling lists, zooming maps, and searching favorites
● 12.3 Inch LCD Reconfigurable Gauge (on select models): Offers four
selectable displays - simple, enhanced, balanced, and performance - that
can mix traditional vehicle data (speedometer, fuel gauge) with navigation,
entertainment, and 3D vehicle image.
● Linux Operating System: Efficient hardware setup offers 3.5 times more
processing power that current infotainment systems.
Introducing the All New Infiniti JX
2013 Infiniti JX Delivers Inspired Style, Performance, Roominess and
-- All-New Luxury Crossover Challenges Current Segment Conventions with
Roomy 3-Row Seating, Luxurious Versatility and Advanced Technology Features
The 2013 Infiniti JX will shake up the status quo when the innovative
7-passenger luxury crossover joins the Infiniti lineup in spring 2012. As a
fresh, bold alternative to the many flavors of vanilla currently dominating
the luxury crossover segment, the all-new Infiniti JX is designed to excel
in the areas that luxury crossover buyers desire most -- interior
flexibility and roominess, safety, and advanced hospitality features. The
JX offers real 3-row utility, plus all the premium features, performance
and innovations that Infiniti has become known for worldwide.
"The all-new Infiniti JX embraces family customers in a way no luxury
crossover has done before -- recognizing their need to grow up, but without
growing old," said Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore.
"Responsibility should come as a reward, rather than as a restriction on
the things and activities you enjoyed as a single person or a couple."
Key features of the 2013 Infiniti JX include:
•Emotive styling and craftsmanship, featuring the new Infiniti design
language direction initiated with the Essence concept
•Segment-leading overall passenger volume
•Segment-leading rear cargo volume (3rd row seats folded, 2nd row seats
in forward-most slide position)
•More 2nd and 3rd row legroom than a Cadillac Escalade
•Access to 3rd row without removing a 2nd row child seat
•Infiniti Connection with Google Calendar™, Drive Zone/Speed Alert and
Infiniti Personal Assistant
•Around View™ Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection
•Extensive safety and security technologies, including available world's
first Backup Collision Intervention (BCI) system
•Available Bose® Cabin Surround® 15-speaker sound system with digital
5.1-channel decoding and a new Acoustic Waveguide subwoofer
"Every element of the Infiniti JX is designed to connect the driver and
passengers to the world, rather than shield them from it as many luxury
crossovers try to do. Our goal is to heighten awareness of your
surroundings, so you can get more out of every day," added Poore. "Saying
'no' to boring luxury starts right here, right now with the inspired design
and advanced technology of the 2013 Infiniti JX."
A Bold New Expression of 7-Passenger Luxury
The demarcation line between the Infiniti JX and other 3-row luxury
crossovers starts with the idea that 7-passenger seating should actually
and easily welcome all seven passengers. Utilization of a flat platform
floor not only enhances 3rd row roominess and provides a long 2nd row total
adjustment of 5.5-inches fore and aft for versatile roominess and cargo
carrying capacity, it also allows use of a more dramatic styling approach.
With a long wheelbase and short overhangs, as well as a low roofline that
doesn't compromise interior headroom, the platform provides the benefits of
a large family passenger vehicle without the usual exterior styling
restrictions. The aerodynamic shape of the new JX, with a coefficient of
drag of 0.34, not only enhances fuel economy but also adds to its emotive
styling. A front underbody spoiler, integrated rear spoiler and rear tire
deflectors also help contribute to its zero front and rear lift for
enhanced road holding.
Combining modern design with a touch of warmth, the new JX exterior is
highlighted by the dramatic, double-arch front grille/headlight shape,
double-wave hood, and crescent-cut D-pillar and greenhouse design.
Automatic on/off High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon
headlights with manual levelizers are standard, along with fog lights.
Large LED taillights add a distinctive touch to the rear, while a standard
power rear liftgate enhances utility.
The JX advances the Infiniti design language, sharing signature styling
cues of the Infiniti Essence concept, yet interprets those elements in ways
suitable to the needs of a family luxury crossover. It stands out without
trying to be something it's not, with good visibility from every seat, easy
entry to and exit from all rows and practical access to the cargo area.
Other JX exterior features include flat blade variable intermittent front
windshield wipers, available rain-sensing front windshield wipers, rear
window intermittent wiper and defroster with timer, power folding heated
outside mirrors with available reverse tilt-down feature, front door handle
courtesy lights, and UV-reducing solar glass and rear privacy glass.
