Only 500 LFA supercars will be built, all will be hand-assembled by skilled technicians in the "Lexus LFA Works" at the Motomachi Plant in Toyota City at a rate of no more than 20 per month. The rear-wheel drive LFA is dynamically styled and powered by a sophisticated new high-revving 9,000 rpm (redline) 4.8-liter V10 engine that generates 552 hp and 354 lb.-ft. of torque for adrenaline-fuelled 202- mph performance. This specially-developed powerplant is paired with a unique six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox (ASG) with blazing-quick paddle-activated shifts for ultimate driver control. Linked by a rigid torque tube for excellent drivetrain integrity, the ASG is located in a transaxle layout over the rear axle for an optimal 48:52 front-to-rear weight distribution. Motorsport-developed lightweight aluminum alloy suspension components are complemented by Carbon Ceramic Material (CCM) brake discs and an innovative electrically assisted rack and pinion steering system. Lightweight, powerful and balanced, the LFA features advanced Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) construction for its chassis and much of its bodywork to deliver a light, incredibly strong and impact-resistant structure. Rather than outsource this sophisticated materials technology, the LFA team took the radical step of developing its own CFRP processes internally for ultimate quality control and to make a sound engineering investment in the future.

The sequel to the Icon original video: Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle - Nick 'Apex' Brocha is back and this time he brought his Empire teammate, Ernie Vigil. The two are mounted on a pair of crackling Triumph Speed Triples - built by Roaring Toyz for the sole purpose of going sideways. Over the last year their quest to find the ultimate drifting playground has led them to the rolling hills of High Plains County. Low traffic, perfect asphalt and endless twisties have kept them busy resurfacing roads with their rear tires for weeks. The only problem is the local authorities have had enough. Enter Police Officer Dan Brockett, the only man with the muscle to keep these two in sight. His 550 horsepower Ford Mustang Cobra was built for speed and he's got a license to use it...

Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition sets lap time of 7:14

We now have the official track time for the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition.
Driver Akira Iida clocked a lap time of 7:14.64 on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife on August 31. The special edition LFA did it using its standard-issue (road-legal) Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires.
The LFA Nürburgring Package is scheduled to go into a limited-run production in 2012. Only 50 units will be from a total LFA production run of 500 models.
The Nürburgring Edition of the LFA comes with a carbon fiber body kit, a re-tuned suspension and an upgraded 6-speed sequential gearbox. It is powered by a 4.8-liter V10 engine with 562 hp (419 kW / 570 PS) - the standard LFA has an output of 412 kW (560 PS). The complete package costs an additional $70,000 but delivers a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

This is just a simply stunning Lexus LFA. A £350,000 supercar that can easily exceed the 200 mph mark ! This particular model is finished in a beautiful Blue colour which I think suits the LFA really well, especially with those red brake calipers. This LFA was sadly, only in Glasgow for 2 days (4th/5th of September) and is now on its way home. The only one in the United Kingdom as well ! In this video I show you the car starting up and followed by insane 7,500 rpm revs. I hope you enjoy the sound of the magnificent V10 Lexus engine with its beautiful Exhaust note tuned by Yamaha Accoustics.

Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition - DRIFT, Startups, Flat Out and LFA Race Car!

I never knew a stock LFA could drift this good! Or it could be the driver, who is a test driver of Lexus, and was the winning driver of 2010 24h Nurburgring race, and also was the ex-GT500 driver for Super GT. Now I want to practice drifting on this car on GT5!
