VTEC Challenge - Rockingham - Round 13
Not a great start off the line so Kris Dunlop got the jump on me into Turn 1, what followed then was one of the best battles I've had in a race - super clean and super respectful of each other. Unfortunately trouble struck my car two laps from the finish when the steering suddenly got very heavy and pulling the car. Initially I thought I'd delaminated a tyre as there was a sudden rubber smell but it soon dawned on my that it was a driveshaft outer joint siezing up. All I could do was coax it home before total failure. 2nd Overall and 1st in class was still a great result for me.
