Ford E350 ambulance camper conversion FOR SALE!!
This is my 96 Ford E350 ambulance I converted into an offroad camper using a Ujoint offroad kit. I went with the ujoint 6" kit, 35" tires, dana 60 front axle. The interior is like an RV with a full size bed to sleep 4, fridge, freezer, sink, large counter space, flat screen tv, 13,500btu a/c, etc. The engine is the 7.3L powerstroke diesel with a DPTuner chip installed to add up to 80hp extra. I see around 14mpg's out of it which is pretty good considering it weighs 10,000 pounds like it sits and more loaded, the added weight of the 4wd and 35's doesnt help either. www.campervanconversions.me.uk campervan conversion, from the start fitting the insulation and then the rear and side windows and the 6mm ply walls, making the shower and toilet fitting the water heater and water tank, next the kitchen equipmant and gas system 240 systen and 12volt system.
I use a portable waste tank which stores under the passenger seat which swivels, so that when I am on my own I can eat at the fold up flap and leave the bed made up. The final pics are of our first trip in the van around North wales last July, You might recognise Bala Lake and Aberstwyth and the Black Mountains.
I hope this is useful to you if you are thinking of doing your own van. I had never done one before and I feel pleased with my achievement this took 4 moths and cost about 4.5 thousand pounds to do.
