cummins vs. Ford Idi sounds
The first truck is a 1994 dodge 2500 cummins 5.9L 12 valve turbo diesel, only modification is a K&N air filter. The second truck is a 1991 Ford F250 with an International 7.3L IDI (indirect injection) diesel no turbo. Trans temp gauge, and pyrometer, injection pump turn up 41/2 flats, muffler delete pipe, a K&N air filter, and the soup bowl cut out. This is not a comparison of which truck is a better performer. I just want to know which truck sounds better.I personally love the sound of the cummins, that truck is the one that got me into diesels to start with, but I do like how quiet my Ford is. PLEASE COMMENT
One of The Best Sounding 7.3L Powerstrokes You Will EVER Hear Guaranteed! Barks Second Gear!
Truck Stats:
Dptuner 7 files 1. stock 2. decel (i use it coming back to the camera) 3. high idle 1300 rpm 4. 60 hp tow 5. 100hp race 6. 140hp extreme 7. smoke. I am in 7 in this video. 8. Lope Idle. I have the gauge pod switch.
5" Expandit Aluminized Exhaust with spiral baffles from an 18wheeler acting as a "muffler" a 6" MBRP tip, Dfuser 18k module (dont need it but I leave it on the truck for the hell of it)
Autometer Colbalt gauges, Pyro Trans Temp ant 35psi Boost (can hammer off 26-27psi)
Upgraded with Chrome Lariat wheels from an 01 excursion, only have two mounted as current so I can blow the rest of the rubber off of them.
Chrome Door handle covers, and tailgate cover.
To come? Nothing more right now, but when the economy turns back around look for a billet grill, and new headlights and taillights!
