Practically every facet of the car has been upgraded for the better from the more stylish exterior, to the smooth design and finish of the interior; the Altima looks to distance itself from the pack in a very competitive sedan segment. The 2013 Nissan Altima comes in 7 different trim levels with the base 2.5 sedan costing $21,500. The fully loaded 3.5 SL tops out at $30,080.
On the outside the first thing you notice about the 2013 Nissan Altima is the body lines which look more like Nissan's luxury line Infiniti. There are chrome accents everywhere and the rear LED taillights are hard to miss. The body and chassis are lighter thanks in part to the use of aluminum. The overall drag coefficient of the 2013 Nissan Altima was also reduced which in turn helps lower fuel consumption. The interior of the 2013 Nissan Altima is quite spacious for a mid size sedan. The materials used are very high quality and the interior features are nicely laid out. Again the Altima seems to take a que from the Infiniti design line.
There are 2 different engines options. The first is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 182 horsepower and 180 lb-ft. of torque. The Altima might seem a bit low in the power department but with the Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission, Nissan thinks the 2013 Altima will net 38 MPG on the highway making it one of the most fuel efficient sedans on the road. The other engine choice is a 3.5 liter V-6 that produces 270 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque.
Driving dynamics are much improved as the rear suspension now consists of a multilink setup based on the 370Z sports car. The ZF Sachs shock absorbers are more commonly found on high end luxury cars from Europe. The 2013 Nissan Altima has a trick Active Understeer Control System which keeps the driver in control. Understeer is eliminated by the computer as brake pressure is applied to the inside wheel automatically.
The 2013 Nissan Altima comes loaded with a bunch of standard features. The seats have been redesigned and test to improve posture and reduce fatigue. There is an Advanced Display which makes it easy for the driver to get vehicle information and navigation instructions. The Altima comes standard with Nissan's safety shield which adds over 50 features including a Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Warning System, and Moving Object Detection System.

The 2013 BMW 640i Gran Coupe is appropriate for someone who really wants a 2-door coupe but occasionally needs room for 4 passengers. The base price on the Gran Coupe is $76,000.
The 2013 BMW 640i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0 liter inline 6-cylinder engine that makes 315 horsepower and 332 lb-ft. of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission is very responsive and quick. There are paddle shifters located on the steering wheel for those who like a more involved driving role. The BMW 640i Gran Coupe has a couple of different driving modes from Sport+ which enhances performance, to Comfort which softens up the suspension and ride, to ECO mode which targets the best fuel economy possible.
The exterior of the 2013 BMW 640i Gran Coupe is comprised of a very sleek profile and a wide stance. The proportions of this luxury car are very elegant and sporty at the same time. The paint is The Gran Coupe can be ordered with BMW's xDrive all wheel drive system. With the BMW Individual Package you can get a couple of premium colors including the Frozen Bronze Metallic as seen here. Interior space is less than a larger sedan but the Gran Coupe is still a very comfortable and upscale car. The ergonomics are great and the rear can seat 3 people if necessary. As with any other BMW, the materials used on the interior are high quality.
The 2013 BMW 640i is the best of both worlds with its 2-door styling and 4-door convenience. BMW has raised the bar with this Gran Coupe edition of the 6-Series. The coupe looks great on the outside and is packed with lots of technology and standard luxury amenities.

2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450 Test Drive & Luxury SUV Video Review

The 2013 GL450 is larger, pack with tons of technology, and more refined. On the outside the Mercedes GL is very elegant and refined. This large SUV abounds in chrome and stainless steel parts. On the inside the GL is chalked full of luxurious materials with the ability to seat up to 7 passengers. Although the GL is larger, it weighs less and gets much better fuel economy than the previous generation. There are 3 different trims including the GL350 BlueTEC, GL4450, and GL550. Prices range from $62,400 up to $86,900 but you can top out at over $100k by adding on various packages and options.
There are 3 different engines that power the GL Class. One engine is a BlueTEC diesel found on the GL350 while the other 2 engine choices are V-8 motors. The 2013 Mercedes GL450 is powered by a 4.6 liter V-8 that makes 362 horsepower and 406 lb-ft. of torque. This engine, paired with a 7-speed automatic, averages 14 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway. Keep in mind the GL is a full size 7 passenger luxury SUV weighing over 5400 lbs.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL Class looks like a strong muscular SUV thanks to the large dimensions, stainless steel skid plates, and distinctive design. The Xenon headlights match perfectly to the LED daytime running lights which are a must for any luxury vehicle. The drive system features Mercedes 4MATIC all-wheel drive to help keep the GL on the road.
On the inside the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450 can seat up to 7 adults while bathing them in high end luxury and comfort. Cargo room is plentiful at 83 cubic feet of space. The materials are top of the line. The front seats are power operated with the capability to heat. There are 2 sunroofs to keep both the second row and third row passengers happy. There are a few optional packages and many different options that can be added. Mercedes is on the forefront of technology and many innovations can be found on the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450.

2013 Lexus LX 570 Test Drive & Luxury SUV Video Review

This all new and totally redesigned LX 570 is back for the 2013 model year featuring a better looking front end along with more luxury and technology. The base price on the 2013 Lexus LX 570 Luxury SUV is $80,930 making it one of the more expensive sport utility vehicles on the market.
The 2013 Lexus LX 570 is powered by a 5.7 liter V-8 that can be found in other Toyota vehicles like the Land Cruiser and the Sequoia. This engine has dual Variable Valve Timing and produces 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is an electronically controlled 6-speed unit with a sequential shift feature. The 2013 Lexus LX 570 manages 12 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway. The LX 570 features full-time 4 wheel-drive with a limited slip differential. This Luxury SUV is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser which has great off-road ability. A couple other standard features include Hill-Start Assist Control, Adaptive Variable Suspension, Active Height Control, and Crawl Control. All these hardcore off-road features may be a bit overkill for a Luxury SUV. The towing capability of the 2013 Lexus LX 570 is 7,000 lbs.
On the outside the new Lexus LX 570 gets the same design and styling treatment as many other new Lexus vehicles. The front bumper and grille look similar to the GS series. A set of huge 20-inch alloys are standard on the LX 570. These chrome rims are a must for any luxury SUV. Another feature that is common to high-end luxury vehicles are the LED daytime running lights and the LX 570 has a great looking set. There are other chrome accent pieces located throughout the rest of the exterior.
On the inside of the 2013 Lexus LX 570, the passengers are bathed in both luxury and technology. In the luxury department, this full sized SUV sports fine leather and wood trim. The steering wheel has tons of integrated controls. The gauges are quite sexy with electroluminescent blue backlighting. There is a Dual-screen DVD rear entertainment system that's available as an option. The sound system is by Mark Levinson and comes with 19-speakers located throughout the cabin. Lexus offers something called a cool box which is essentially a fridge located in the armrest. Talk about luxury! The 2013 Lexus LX 570 is equipped with everything else you would expect from a high end luxury SUV including: Navigation, power fold rear seating, climate control, Smart Stop technology, a Pre-Collision System, and more.
The 2013 Lexus LX 570 is loaded to the hilt with safety, security, and luxury amenities. Beyond that the LX 570 is a very capable off-road SUV. There are very few choices out there if you are looking for an 8 passenger Luxury SUV but the 2013 Lexus LX 570 has all the bases covered.

2012 Porsche Panamera Test Drive & Luxury Sports Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/porsche/panamera/2012/ The 2012 Porsche Panamera is an interesting combination of automotive delicacies. The Panamera is one part sports car, one part luxury car, one part hatchback, and one part sedan. Over the past decade, Porsche has created a few unique vehicles to target a broad range of car buyers. The Boxster is aimed at the entry level sports car enthusiast while the Cayenne is aimed at those looking for a quick SUV. But the Panamera offers 911 performance with a usable back seat. The 2012 Porsche Panamera can range from $75,200 for the base model all the way to $173,200 for the top of the line turbo S model.
The vehicle tested in this video is the base model Panamera 4 (AWD). It is powered by a lightweight and direct injected 3.6 liter V-6 engine that makes 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is the famous PDK twin-cutch 7-speed unit that shifts lighting quick. Fuel economy on the 2012 Porsche Panamera is 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway thanks in part to an auto start/stop system which shuts down the engine while the car is sitting idle. Sixty MPH flies by in 5.8 seconds and the Panamera 4 has a top speed of 159 MPH. The Panamera handles incredibly well thanks to the Porsche Traction Management system. The AWD monitors driving situations and can adjust power as need. The Panamera is equipped with Anti-Slip Regulation and Automatic Brake Differential.
Porsche Active Suspension Management is optional on the Panamera 4. This system provides electronic dampening at all 4 corners of the car thus reducing body roll and increasing handling. The system will also tighten up the setting based on the selection of modes: Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus. The rims are 18-inch alloys wrapped in sticky rubber. The 2012 Porsche Panamera comes with huge 360 mm brakes up front and 330 mm brakes out back. The calipers are six-piston units. Safety wise besides all the electronic computer controlled systems, the Panamera 4 features a full compliment of 2-stage airbags for both the front and rear passengers.
With the rear seats up the Panamera has a luggage compartment with over 15 cubic feet of storage space. But with he seats down the hatchback design allows for over 44 cubic feet of cargo room which is a large amount for this segment. And believe it or not the 2012 Porsche Panamera can tow up to 4850 lbs. The Panamera is a very efficient and powerful sports car that offers a high level of luxury and sophistication while being able to transport 4 passengers in style.
