How to remove brakes & rotors on a VW Jetta
This is 2003 Volkswagon Jetta. The wrench for the caliper bolts is a 7mm allen wrench, not a hex key like I kept saying. The tapping of the set screw with the ballpeen hammers is to vibrate the rust from the inside threads on the screw. I tried to remove the screw without tapping it first and I almost stripped it. After about 10 hits with the hammer, it came right out. I upgraded brake pads to ceramic pads because they produce a lot less brake dust.

VW MK5 MK4 Rear Brake Pad Replacement
As the title says, rear brake pad replacement on VW MK5 (2009) Jetta. Pretty straight-forward except for the ratchet type hand brake mechanism/adjuster. You can't push the piston in without damaging the caliper if you don't either use the proper tool or rotate the piston as you push it in.

914 Rear Caliper DIY Kit Video
Published on Dec 12, 2012
If you purchased one of our 914 U-DO-IT rear caliper kit, this is the video for you. It's also a great way for the DIY 914 mechanic to learn how to rebuild your 914 rear calipers the proper way.
Some things to note: We made this video using tools you should have at your disposal. This will help you see how the end result can turn out. On our caliper restorations, every part gets re-plated with zinc dichromate just like the ATE factory did back in the 70's. For the purpose of this video, we used paint for the arm and spring so you can see how "your" results can turn out. The caliper at the end of the video is the caliper we built step by step in the video (yes, your calipers should look that good when you're done!!)
If you have "any" questions while you're building your kit please feel free to call us at 855-STOP-101 (that's 855-786-7101). We're always more than happy to help our customers achieve success!
Here's a link to the kit if you are interested in having amazing calipers on your 914:

Removing Brake Rotor Screws That Won't Come Out - EricTheCarGuy
Removing Brake Rotor Screws That Won't Come Out - EricTheCarGuy
I think the title covers this one. Honda's are famous for this so I made this little video to help you should you be in this situation. Wear your safety glasses when you do this or whenever you hit things, getting crap in your eye sucks, trust me. Impact drivers can be found at your local tool supplier. If you don't have a hammer I don't know what to tell you. This doesn't seem to require a long explanation so I'm going to stop typing now.
