Secret Service Suburban at Ground Zero For Obama at World Trade Center New York
The day before President Obama visited Ground Zero at the World Trade Center on May 5, 2011, agents of the United States Secret Service were conducting security checks along the perimeter of the site. This is one of the many black Chevrolet Suburbans that were in the area that day.

Notice his limousine take the 90 degree corner at speed. The crowd goes wild when he arrives. Notice that there are always two limos. You never know which one he is in and the other limo is there as a back up in case anything goes wrong with the primary limo as well as functioning as a decoy.

Forward flashing blue lights distinguish the USSS vehicles from the NYPD vehicles which only use red and white forward flashing lights.

Secret Service Suburban and NYPD Vehicles in New York for President Obama
In this video you will see the NYPD Highway Patrol Dodge Charger, unmarked NYPD police cars, a Secret Service Chevrolet Suburban, a NYPD truck and tow truck. There is also another Chevrolet Suburban parked to the left with only red lights. Probably NYPD.These vehicles are leaving the World Trade Center just ahead of President Obama's own departure from the WTC.

Police Escort: NYPD Police Car Assists a Minivan Through Red Lights
This is an interesting and rarely seen event: a police car escorting a civilian car through red lights. If anyone has any idea what is going on here let me know :-) . The cars are traveling south on West End avenue at about 71st street. Also I should note that it was 6:00 am.
UPDATE 05.2012: Not long ago family members contacted me saying that someone was having an epileptic seizure in the minivan and the police car was helping the minivan get to the hospital. This seems probable.

The presidential motorcade leaving Ground Zero in May 2011. There are some nice Dodge Chargers of the New York Police Department Highway Patrol in this motorcade, along with four identical unmarked Ford Crown Victoria police interceptors of the NYPD. Notice that there are two of them placed directly in front of the two presidential limousines, just behind the NYPD Charger. The other two are at the end of the motorcade.
