I Dream of Jeannie 1965 Pontiac GTO Opening Scene

Major Nelson's 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible is featured in this short opening clip from one of the Black & White I Dream of Jeannie episodes from the first 1965-66 season. Pontiac provided cars for the entire run of the 1965-70 series, and yet oddly GM and Pontiac Motor Division were not credited for this in the closing credit rolls. The ultra-popular GTOs were the vehicle of choice for Tony Nelson in the first three seasons, where '65, '66, and '67 GTO convertibles were provided. Bonnevilles and Firebirds picked up the task for the last 2 years of the show. Oh Major Nelson, for heaven's sake - PLEASE NOTE: Fair use and educational value on TV History are the purpose of this posting, enjoy!

PONTIAC moments w/JEANNIE (Jeannie Steals Tony's 1965 GTO for a test drive)
Being a Pontiac man, it's only fitting this episode first aired on my birthday, exactly 2 years before I was born!--It aired in 1965. Jeannie Steals Tony's 1965 PONTIAC GTO for a test drive, almost hits Dr. Bellows head on, then does "donuts" in front of the house and almost runs over Tony, LOL. If you listen carefully you can hear the "389 tripower" go "WAH" when she swerves at Dr. Bellows and hits the gas. Also check out the rare (65-66 only) body style PONTIAC GRAND PRIX that Dr. Bellows is driving.

A Tribute to Pontiac
A quick overview of Pontiac Motor Division, from the first Pontiac-branded car built in 1926 and its beginnings as an offshoot of the Oakland car company, to the final '09 and '10 cars. Also features some commercial and movie footage in which Pontiacs played an important role. My first car was and is a 1985 Pontiac 6000 STE, and I want a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT very badly someday, so the brand's elimination came as a shock and a huge disappointment to me. I hope Pontiac may one day return, but for now, this video is my farewall salute to a great brand with a great history. Enjoy. Thanks to all people who supplied the photographs and video clips. A few of the pictures are my own, all others have been borrowed from others and I take no credit for their creation. All content is property of its respective owners. Music: The Chemical Brothers - "Surface to Air" I'd like to make a big thank you to J16FOX2 for his help in making this video. Please check out his videos. Thanks!

PONTIAC moments w/JEANNIE (The Speed Trap Incident)
I DREAM OF JEANNIE. Tony's 69 Bonneville, small town speed trap, small town people faking accidents for insurance fraud, Jeannie blinking Dr. Bellows Pontiac Wagon to take off like a rocket getting him in trouble while in "hickville".

1965 Pontiac GTO
This 1965 Pontiac GTO has just been through an extensive restoration and is finally ready! This car was built in Fremont California and has remained a California car all of it's life. The numbers matching 389ci has been completely rebuilt. It has new pistons, rings, bearings, camshaft, valves and valve springs. It's bored .30 over and the crank turned at .010ths. It still sports the stock 10:75:1 compression ratio and runs perfectly. The transmission is a stock Muncie M20 wide ratio 4-speed with the original shifter. Shifts like new. This is a well above-average restoration as the pictures will show in arguably the best color possible. With new interior, plenty of newly re-chromed trim, polished stainless steel and all new glass (except wind-wings), this GTO is a fabulous investment opportunity for the collector. The paint and body are incredible, beautiful panel alignment, just a stunning piece of Pontiac history done up right! The car is PHS documented and it will be included. 1966 Pontiac GTO Introduced
Remember when Pontiac meant, "excitement?" This clip makes the thought of the demise of this once hot brand all the more painful. Even the stiff host couldn't kill the buzz this car created.

1965 Pontiac GTO RestoMod with a Chevy LS1 and Overdrive Transmission
I was over at Gateway Classic Cars today and they had this really awesome 65 Pontiac GTO. It is extremely slick inside and out and it has been fully upgraded mechanically. It's equipped with an LS1 fuel-injected small block chevy, the 4 spd overdrive automatic, and four wheel disc brakes. Classic muscle car style and modern drive train. Thanks for taking a look.
