2010 Mercedes Benz E350 Sedan Interior
www.eurocarnews.com - Mercedes-Benz designers paid careful attention to the E-Class sedan interior, to ensure that every surface is appealing in form, color and material. The cockpit features five analog gauges, including two pairs that overlap each other. Standard equipment includes a premium leather-covered steering wheel with integrated multi-function switches and a Direct Select electronic shift lever mounted on the steering column.
Also standard is a new COMAND system featuring a large seven-inch color display screen with a standard in-dash, six-disc CD/DVD changer and a Bluetooth interface that allows a phone still in a pocket or purse to be operated through the car's audio system. Using a console-mounted controller, the central display in the dash can be operated by either the driver or front passenger.
New Mercedes E Class E
Mercedes hasnt held back with its new E-Class. The styling is a radical departure from the current model, with edgy and more aggressive detailing, while a raft of new technologies and updated engines keep it bang up to date with its rivals. A lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic body is used to help reduce emissions, as are low-rolling-resistance tyres and automatic operation of the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioner and fuel pump. The diesel engines also get the latest-generation common-rail injection, turbo-chargers and Exhaust gas circulation, while the petrol units also get direct injection and turbo-charging. The E 250 CDI, for example, produces 204hp and 500Nm (up 60Nm over the E280 CDI V6) but uses around 23 percent less fuel and produces only 139g/km of CO2 while the E200 CGI manual (with its standard start/stop function) burns only 41.5l of petrol every 100km and produces 159g/km. Other innovations include pro-active safety systems that not only warn but can also act to prevent accidents (it can even tell if youre getting drowsy); headlamps that dont dip but redirect themselves away from other cars; LED daytime driving lights; Night View with pedestrian detection; a pop-up, pedestrian-friendly bonnet; nine airbags; and Pre-Safe. Active dampers are standard on all models, as are alloy wheels, heated front seats, a multifunction leather steering wheel, Bluetooth and parking sensors. It goes on sale in Ireland this June. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a brilliant executive saloon. Sharp to look at - yet discreetly styled -- the car offers a high quality interior and impressive handling. An extensive engine range and three trim levels create plenty of choice. Even the cheapest E200 CDI turbodiesel models deliver good performance, while economy throughout the entire range impresses too. It might not drive with the precision of a BMW 5 Series or Jaguar XF, but the E-Class betters both for comfort and safety. The range-topping E500 and E63 AMG models provide impressive performance, with the E63 delivering an incredible 525bhp from its high-revving 6.2-litre V8 engine.

Designed to become one of the most luxurious and advanced vehicles ever constructed, the 2014 S-Class has an evolutionary design that incorporates a sportier front fascia, a larger grille and a gentle slanting rear end. The sleek styling enables the model to have drag coefficient of 0.24 which is pretty impressive considering the pint-sized CLA has a drag coefficient of 0.23.
