I walk through replacing the water pump on a 2004 Buick Rainier with the 5.3 vortec v8. The procedure is identical on the Chevy Trailblazer, Oldsmobile Bravada, GMC Envoy, Saab 9-7x, or Isuzu Ascender. It is almost identical on a Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, or any other Vortec 5.3 application.

This DIY video shows that replacing a BMW radiator isn't hard. You can do it with a few simple tools and a little know-how. Many BMW owners like to perform preventative maintenance on the weak spots of the cooling system.
The main concerns are the plastic radiator, the plastic impeller in the water pump and the plastic thermostat housing.
