Carbon Fiber Key Fob Skins for BMW and MINI
Give your BMW or MINI Key a Carbon Fiber Finish with this Easy to install Overlay kit! If your Key Fob is worn out or scratched make it look like new again OR protect your investment from damage. Key Fobs are easily scratched and worn over time by constant use. They are the one part of your BMW that is used everyday. Loose change in pockets or even just the constant rubbing and damage from oils in your skin wear at the surface of the Key over time. Refurbish a damaged key in minutes with this Key Fob overlay kit. Each set comes with TWO OVERLAYS so you can do both keys for your vehicle or keep an extra to renew the overlay in the future. The realistic Carbon Fiber finish is not a sticker. These are manufactured from REAL 3M Di-Noc(TM)

Car Damage Repair (Part 1)
Comments REQUIRE APPROVAL. THINK before posting. NOTE: I am NOT a Car Care Expert, nor claim to be. NOTE: This is =NOT= a Tutorial on how to repair a vehicle. It is a progress series. The Epic Tale, of fixing a car, after some dunce taxi driver hits it. Fortunately, the bumper, PHYSICALLY, is 100% undamaged! Cosmetically, it was a total mess. Before I started this video, I got half the "Darlington Stripes" off if it, and in this segment, I remove the rest of them. Some scratches remain, and there's some chipped off paint. Tocuh-up painting is in the next part. BEFORE SOMEONE SAYS IT: No, I do NOT have the time, or money, to go though the hassles of insurace companies, getting it appraised, quoted, and replacing the bumper. The damage is fairly neglegable, and when it's done, it'll not be perfect, but will look like other parts of the car. ALSO: Once all is done, the receipts for the materials will be sent to the cab company who was responsible. Fortunately, it's not going to be a major nightmare.

Bimmian.com 3M DI-NOC - Carbon Fiber Wrap
Now you can give ANY surface in your BMW the Carbon Fiber look with our high quality 3M™ DI-NOC™ adhesive-backed carbon vinyl! This introduction video from bimmian.com will show you how. What is 3M™ DI-NOC™? MADE IN JAPAN, 3M™ DI-NOC™ is a high-end vinyl from 3M™. The vinyl can be installed on almost any surface, regardless of the curvature. There are unlimited applications, from the interior of your car to the back of your laptop. 3M™ DI-NOC™ gives a dry carbon look. Contrary to initial belief, carbon fiber DI-NOC™ is not just a printed carbon fiber pattern, but in fact has a three-dimensional texture to it. This allows it to reflect light the same way that real carbon fiber would, making it the best real-world alternative to carbon fiber when you just want the look without paying the high cost of real Carbon Fiber. Matte Look: 3M DI-NOC has a matte texture contrary to the usual glossy carbon fiber look. Make your vehicle stand out from the crowd with this unique look. 3D Texture: 3M DI-NOC has an actual texture to it. That's what makes it better than all of the other carbon fiber films out there. It looks like real Carbon Fiber from any angle. Indoor and outdoor: 3M™ DI-NOC™ can be used both indoors and outdoors. The material has been tested to last about 3-4 years outdoors and 12 years indoors. It is also Water resistant. Can be applied to almost any surface: 3M™ DI-NOC™ film has been tested to adhere to wood, mortar, stone, metal, glass, plastic, and even itself. Carbon you hood, interior trim, engine components and more! Easy to use: 3M™ DI-NOC™ films have 3M™ Comply adhesive air release channels for fast, easy, and virtually bubble-free application. Self-adhesive back with 3M™ Comply adhesive for great adhesion to most surfaces. Enhance the adhesion by warming the material with a hair dryer or heat gun.

Join other auto body technicians and discuss car painting techniques with auto body professionals and enthusiasts. This shows a minor scrape on a Mazda Miata. The scratch was feathered out, primed and painted using BASF paint. There are many ways to get the job done, this is what was done here: 1. The scratch was feathered out using 280 grit paper until each color was seperated around 1/2". 2. Next it was backsanded to allow space for the primer to adhere. 3. It was primed with 2 coats of Glasurit 285-10/20 direct to metal urethane primer and allowed to dry. It was primed with a devilbiss finishline HVLP gun with a 1.6 tip. 4. Next it was blocksanded using 320 paper, then final sanded with some 400-500 grit paper. Using a block is optional there but recommended. 5. After taping it up it was painted using RM Diamont basecoat in 3 coats. Each coat was allowed to flash about 5 minutes before the next one. Then 15 minutes before clearing. An Iwata LPH400 was used to apply the basecoat at about 20 psi. 6. The clear coat used here was BASF DC5335 Glamour clear. It was applied in 2 coats with about 10 minutes between coats. It was applied using an Iwata W400 with about 26 PSI at the gauge. A few dirt nibs were colorsanded and polished afterwards.
