5th Wheel Land Rover Defender - Off Road with 45ft Caravan
The end of an epic 3 week journey. The caravan is a 45ft 5th wheel trailer, made in the US, being pulled by a 1984 Land Rover Defender. The caravan was arrested and put in custody by the Police... it is a long story and may one day end up on youtube... It was damaged when we got it back... but this video is about the last 100ft of the journey. Positioning the caravan took nearly all day and there was at least 9 of us. The Land Rover is a very special one, built by Land Rover and registered to them for the early part of its life. The chassis is specially strengthened for the full size 5th wheel, it has vacuum brakes for the trailer and is having air brakes fitted. Soon to be featured in Land Rover World magazine. I thought it would be nice to show the Land Rover doing the kind of work it was built for, shame we needed a tractor to give us a nudge ;)

pt7 Defender 90 and Landrover discovery getting drowned in part7 of the playlist. extreme 4x4 mudding Great fun in the mud lots of vehicles being recovered and snatched out by the V8 disco. Watch out for the very enthusiastic Discovery drivers and my mate Kev in the 90 with a pleasant drive. Jerome in the 90 td5, get some recovery points for next time! not because he got stuck but because he couldn't pull anyone out as no one was prepared to lay in the mud to hook up! BIG BOAT little jeep
TEST Launching a 27' Bayliner cabin cruiser into lake. Boat is 7500 lbs trailer is 2500 lbs total 10,000 lbs. First test launch, (just floated off trailer and pulled back out) launched many times since. Only moved from storage to ramp, about 1/4 mile. Brought it back home at end of season with one ton truck.
