Joey Butel has built himself a package to be reckoned with. Starting with a mild-mannered 2006 Honda S2000, who knew the heights this 2.2L would see in its lifetime! Joey first bolted on a Science Of Speed Supercharging System with Paxton NOVI 1220 Supercharger, then proceeded to upgrade his head unit...not once, but TWICE. First, when his NOVI 1220 wasn't able to push enough Boost he opted for the NOVI 1200. Then, when 511rwhp was still not enough, Joey jumped up to the Paxton NOVI 1500 Supercharger and was able to break the current record for highest horsepower supercharged S2000 - 558.51RWHP & 353.04RWTQ. Currently running 24psi on E85, his supporting mods include a T1R Power header, 3 inch catback Exhaust with test pipe, ported stock throttle body, Honda KPro EMS, ID2000cc injectors, Inline Pro return-style fuel system, 255lph Walbro fuel pump, Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, and a Fuel Lab fuel pressure regulator.
There's a Comp Clutch Stage 2+ to help hold the power currently being layed down, along with differential collars, Bilstein PSS9s, Whiteline performance sway bars, CR steering rack brace, and widened rear wheels with Nitto NT01 R comp 275/40/17 tires. For brakes, this S2K has got Racing Brake 2pc slotted rotors, Hawk HPS pads, and SOS stainless lines.
So deceptive is this car's understated look, there is almost nothing about it's outer appearance that will tip you off to the power it has on tap. The hardtop, lip spoiler, and trunk spoiler are all OEM offerings, with only a coastal metal splitter as any indicator the car is not stock. Joey even opted to widen the factory wheels instead of purchasing aftermarket units to retain the car's stock outer appearance. We're sure Joey has no problem surprising drivers of all types both on the street, and at the track with this potent package.
When asked what it was like to hold the title of highest horsepower supercharged S2000, and what he thought of his car now, Joey replied "It's a blast! 500+(rwhp) in this car is purely SCARY. The car has no traction in less than fourth gear. Even rolling into the throttle is big fun. It's netting some crazy numbers...and (given the chance) I would do it all exactly the same again!"

Fuel Management: AEM V2 ECU, I.D. 1000cc injectors, 3 bar map sensor, aeromotive 340lph stealth fuel pump. Autometer wideband O2.
Driveline: ACT HD pressure plate, oem revised friction disc, new oem throwout bearing. Solid diff mounts.
Exhaust: Berks header, T1R 70mm test pipe.

The Paxton NOVI 2200 Supercharging System and 3.33â€³ Supercharger Pulley were installed along with 60lb. fuel injectors and a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump by Carlos Nieves and Mario Fernandez @ 2 Fast Performance Group, and tuned by Carlos Nieves on their Mustang Dynamometer. Known locally as "The Heartbreaker", the load-bearing nature of 2 Fast's MustangDyno generally reads 10-12% lower than the other local Dynojet-style accelerometer Dynos on the island. However, Francisco's newly Boosted Cali Special brutalized the Heartbreaker to an amazing 604rwhp and 514rwtq at 11.7psi (SAE), making his GT only the 2nd sub-$100K car to break the 600whp mark there.
