All new 2013 Seat Leon compact car with sporty FR trim (2.0 TDi - 184 hp - 380 Nm). The Full-LED front lights look just as aggressive and unique as the ones of Golf VII and Audi A3 Sportback, but the rear lieghts are even more special. 2013 Seat Leon FR design
The new Leon is also compelling for its excellent utility. It combines a more compact exterior with a more spacious interior. The premium materials and the level of craftsmanship place the Leon squarely at the forefront of the competitive field.
SEAT is sending the new Leon into battle with a series of powerful and fuel-efficient TDI and TSI engines ranging from 1.2 to 2.0 litres displacement. All engines feature direct injection and turbocharging; they have been engineered for low internal friction and fast warm-up. Compared with their respective predecessors, their fuel consumption is down by up to 22 percent.
The 1.6 TDI generates 77 kW (105 hp) and 250 Nm of torque. In the Ecomotive version with start/stop system and recuperation, it consumes just 3.8 litres of diesel per 100 km on the NEDC, equating to 99 grams of CO2 per km. The extensively reengineered 2.0 TDI consumes an average of just 4.0 litres of fuel per 100 km in the Ecomotive version. With 110 kW (150 hp) and 320 Nm of torque, it is a powerful driving force for the Leon.
SEAT will rapidly expand the engine line-up. Early 2013 will see the arrival of the 1.2 TSI in two versions with 63 kW (86 hp) and 77 kW (105 hp), a 1.4 TSI with 90 kW (122 hp) and, at the top of the petrol range, a 1.8 TSI with 132 kW (180 hp) and a combination of direct and manifold injection. The diesel line-up will be augmented by the 1.6 TDI with 66 kW (90 hp) and the new top TDI -- the 2.0 TDI with 135 kW (184 hp). It delivers a maximum torque of 380 Newton metres.
Depending on the engine, transmission options range from five- and six-speed manual gearboxes or the renowned six- and seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearboxes.

Anschauen
Wer den neuen Seat Exeo anschaut, erlebt ein "Deja vue". Kein Wunder, die spanische Limousine ist ein recycelter Audi A4 der letzten Generation. Front- und Heckpartie sind zwar eigenständig gestylt, doch von der Seite kann er die Verwandtschaft mit dem alten A4 nicht verleugnen. Mit diesem Technologietransfer - sogar die Produktionsstrasse wurde von Ingolstadt ins spanische Martorell gezügelt - spart Seat viel Zeit und Geld. Die gesamte Entwicklung des Exeo-Projekts dauerte knapp zwei Jahre, mindestens ein Jahr weniger als die normale Entwicklung eines komplett neuen Modells.
Reinsitzen
Auch innen herrscht Audi-Ambiente. Die roten Anzeigen, die gut zu erreichenden Schalter und die bequemen Sitze - alles stammt vom A4. Doch das ist auch gut so. Denn so hochwertig und schön war bisher noch kein Seat-Innenraum. Allerdings mussten die Spanier auch das knappe Platzangebot übernehmen. Wenn ein Grossgewachsener am Steuer sitzt, hat hinter ihm niemand Platz.
Fahren
Auch motorenseitig gibt es eine Premiere. Der Exeo 2.0 TDI ist der erste Seat mit Commonrail-Diesel. Das laufruhige, 143 PS starke Aggregat gefällt mit einem spritzigen Antritt (9,2 Sekunden von 0 auf 100 km/h) bei moderatem Verbrauch (5,2 Liter pro 100 km). Auch das eng gestufte und knackig zu schaltende Sechsganggetriebe sowie das ausgewogene Fahrwerk machen ihre Arbeit ausgezeichnet.
Kaufen
Nicht nur Seat spart mit dem Exeo Geld, auch der Exeo-Käufer profitiert. Ein ähnlich ausgestatteter Audi A4 war 2007 mehr als 5000 Franken teurer. Einzig jene, die sich einen der letzten Audis anschafften, dürften sich grün und blau ärgern.
Fazit
Es klingt hart: Besser als der Exeo war zuvor kein Seat. Die Audi-Qualitäten der Mittelklasse-Limousine dürften den Spaniern zahlreiche neue Kunden bringen.

El Toledo es un experimento dentro de la gama Seat. Instalado entre la juventud del Ibiza y el diseño pasional del nuevo Leon, el Toledo, que no es otra cosa que un Skoda Rapid rebautizado, juega las cartas de la funcionalidad y la sencillez para ofrecerse como un producto equilibrado y con una buena relación precio-equipamiento.
Nuestro jefe de pruebas, Joan Dalmau, ha probado la versión 1.6 TDi con acabado Style. Dispone del único motor diesel de la gama inicial (más adelante habrá otro 1.6 de 90 CV) y del nivel de equipamiento más alto, y se vende por 21.300 euros que es un precio algo elevado para un coche que deriva de la plataforma del Ibiza.

Zwei elegante Diesel-Kombis im Vergleich: Der Kandidat aus dem hohen Norden ist der Volvo V70. Sein Kontrahent ist der Seat Exeo aus dem sonnigen Spanien.Unter dem Kleid des Exeo verbirgt sich der vorletzte Audi A4, von dem auch der Innenraum weitestgehend übernommen wurde. Das PS-Duell kann der Volvo mit 170 zur 143 PS beim Seat erst einmal für sich entscheiden. Doch bei der Beschleunigung hat der Seat die Nase vorn: 9,6 Sekunden von Null auf 100 km/h. Da braucht der Volvo knappe 10 Sekunden, die Solidität des Schweden macht sich da bemerkbar.
