Finally after 5 years we though that the old Merc deserved to be taken out for a spin. We had a little problem with the right rear tire but otherwise the car was running surprisingly good, everything worked. As they say: Mercedes is a quality car.

2003 Saturn Ion that won't start in cold weather
Documenting my attempt to use a fix I found on the internet to resolve an issue that plagues 2003-2004 Saturn Ions. The models in this year can have difficulty starting in cold weather. At first it was pretty sporadic for me but this year it was almost constant.
In the video I replace the ignition switch which actually ended up resolving my problem. I guess there is a lubricant in this switch that SHOULDN'T harden in cold weather but the ones that shipped in the cars of these years do. Total cost $29.99 and about 30 minutes of time.
The specific symptoms you will see with this issue are (usually in cold weather) you will try to start the car and it might crank a couple times but then die. When you try to start it again you will hear a short fire but then it stops. This is because the security system has kicked in and shut off fuel to the vehicle for 10 minutes. After you wait 10 minutes you can try to start it again. This cycle can happen multiple times (at its worst I would have to go almost an hour of doing this).
Once you replace the part you may have to reset the security (passlock). This is done by turning the key to start (but it won't) and then leaving it in the run position until the lock light in the dash quits blinking (about 10 minutes). You then do this again (again waiting 10 minutes) and finally a THIRD time (waiting another 10 minutes). After the third attempt you turn the key to OFF and wait 30 seconds (this waiting is important I am told!). It should then fire up.

BMW 328i E36 Start Up Problem
When engine is cold it has problems starting with a very weird sound. car rattles and shake a lot at the beginning once warm it stops. Crankshaft sensor & Starter are brand new,& problem still continues. When engine cold it also tends to turn off when put to drive or reverse,but when warm/hot its fine.btw Battery is also new.

Well seems the idle is a little rough and its running extremely rich. im thinking the rom tune is not tuned right. also im sure the timing is off. just need to fine tune a few things and it will be ready for break in.
5th Honda prelude starting problem
Hey This is my 1997 Honda prelude sh. It has dc headers and a aem cool air intake. 160k miles. My car started having this problem as the weather started to get colder. And now at about 65 out side the problem has gotton so bad that the car just cranks at a normal speed but doesn't actually start. There is no spark at the distributor. We have sent it to a shop and they tried a new distributor and a new PCM. Nothing changed. Then they said it might be the immobilized but they couldn't do anything about it so I towed it to Honda. Honda couldn't do anything because they said they couldn't pull up my cars vin number. Probably because it was made in japan. Not sure. So they gave up. The car is stuck in front of my house and I can't do anything about it. Oh yeah and Honda said as they were plugging everything back in because the old shop left everything undone because of they're tests the car started for about 20 mins. But then just died. They're are no check engine lights or anything. And Honda won't check any of my recalls because they can't find the vin... Please if you have any ideas let me know what you think.

A4 Idle Problems
Experiencing poor idle problems after I hit the gas, car jumps & joggles when gas is hit & won't accelerate.
Replaced my MAF shortly after & still experienced problems....replaced MAF AGAIN & BAM! Problem solved.
